Eh, this is only a bit of the first chapter, and I want to see how I'm doing, this being my first MiST project and all. And what better than a Soul Calibur Mary Sue?
Dancing With Despair Siegfried: The despair stemming from actually reading this. Agonized by her Savior Raphael: Insulting that would be too easy. Amy: Agonized by this fic, agonized by her wangst, agonized by agony… Raphael had arrived at Duke Riviére’s manor. He had been sent in the place of his “friend” the nobleman who didn’t feel like going himself. Siegfried: Tonight the part of the Random Nobleman will be played by Raphael Sorel. He stopped at the door, gave his false name, and entered. Amy: Zinglebert Bambledack. Siegfried: Winglebert Humptyback. Raphael: I like the ring of Guy Incognito, myself. He despised being there because it was one of Riviére’s soldiers who killed Amy’s parents. Amy: Why are you bringing *them* into this? If you *must* know, they bravely defended me from being killed by Nightmare. Siegfried: (shifts uncomfortably) Really? Amy: (scoffs) No. He didn’t want to dance like the others, he wanted to slay the Duke and leave. Siegfried: He would ruin their routines by doing a tarantella, followed by a rumba, then cha-cha over to the Duke and kill him. Amy: And *step* two-three, and *stab* two-three… Raphael: Why stab when poisons would work just as well? His thoughts were interrupted by a young woman’s voice, her trembling words asking a nobleman to stop touching her. The pig didn’t head her words and continued to grope. Amy: The pig wanting to make sure the words were fully aroused before the oral sex. Raphael: (shakes his head) I thought I had raised you better than that. Raphael figured he was one of Riviére’s. The minstrels began a new song so Raphael grabbed the woman by the arm and lead her to the floor to dance. She followed his lead fearfully, he noticed the fright in her pretty light violet eyes. Siegfried: Sue eyes, check. Despite her fear she was a divine dancer, the movements seemed natural to her. Siegfried: Sue special gift, check. “You’re a good dancer,” he said as the song finished. Raphael: Well, really only because the author said so. |

Just once I want to see a Sue with "bland brown eyes." Looks good so far.

Akiko - Bah. Before I was shown the Light, I wrote many Sues with brown eyes, mousy hair, and plain features. It's just a really transparent way of disguising it as something less evil. Unfortunately, not everyone is quite so ashamed of their Sues. I mean, what about all the albinos with pink eyes, or the people with two different colored eyes out there? They can't even go out in public anymore. Not without being stampeded by herds of angry MST-ers. Sues are just ruining lives everywhere. *sniff*
Gambit - Don' cry, chere. Remy got funny eyes, an' he manage jus' fine. Akiko - Yeah, but you can blow people up if they bug you. *eyes him warily* You're not a Stu in disguise, are you? Gambit - O_o...Eh... |
