Most of the MST3K episodes that I've seen are great, but this one just isn't as funny as the rest. Now, admittedly I've only got through half of it so far, but I'm not impressed. The short before the movie, on the Junior Rodeo was hilarious, "rodeo is the opiate of the masses." I don't blame the crew, it's the movie's fault really. Is it bad? How can a movie about giant killer shrews not be! But more than that, the movie is boring, so boring that it's hard to make jokes about. Perhaps in the second half of the movie there is great improvement, I'll watch the rest some time and let you know, but thus far I'm not impressed.

Same things with fics, sometimes. They're just not riffable. I haven't seen that particular one, but I'll keep an eye out for it.

It didn't get any better really. There was one funny part where Crow and Tom make a board game based off the movie, except none of the pieces move, just like the actors in the movie. They just all stand in one place and sprout off bad, but boring, dialogue.

Heh. Well, it's better than it being on the same level as the film. And I guess Mike -- or is it past Season Three? -- had an off day in script-writing.

I haven't seen this episode in a long time. Do they have the movie in a DVD/VHS set?

I think it was Joel who was in the "Killer Shrews" episode. It's been so long I don't remember sad.gif .
