Sanctuary, Third Uprising

Aura began down an ally with Lavos in hand. She wasn’t searching for Azural yet, she had other conserves. She searched to sky for any angels, but realized that was futile. Odessa protect itself if the angels tried a direct assault. Wandering aimlessly, Aura didn’t notice someone approach her. With a swift movement a hand was put over her mouth and she was dragged into the shadows. The other hand reached around and grabbed Lavos from her hand. Acting in a defensive move, Lavos writhed like a snake and drove its points deep into the mans arm.

The man brought his mouth to her ear and through clenched teeth said, "Tell it to be still Aura." and he brought his hand away from her mouth.

"Drammaz!? What? uh.." with a swift gesture she commanded Lavos to return to its pin form, "What are you doing here?"

He grasped his arm to stop the bleeding and winced, "the council has discovered the plot for Odessa and are standing by to take Odessa by force if necessary. That is, unless Azural can be neutralized first. I'm here to warn you."

"They know? We are trying to find her now, but warn us? Whar us of what?" Aura replied.

"I'm not warning you all, Deranu already knows, I’m here to warn YOU! Your in danger!" he spat as he cast a healing spell, "If you use your true powers, especially Lavos, and the Council is here, then they will find you... I... I can’t let them find you..."

Drammaz turned Aura around and looked deeply into her eyes, "Promise me, you wont use your powers, not now, leave this to Deranu." Reaching up, he slowly pined Lavos to her hair, "You have to be a normal girl until this is over, the Council is watching..."

Aura looked away, "So they are coming here?". "Yes, unless the demon is stopped, they will come before the demon ascends." Drammaz replied. "And how long until that?" "I don’t know... but they council wont wait for long, you have 3 hours."

Drammaz gave her a rough push toward the street. "Go now, there is little time, if the demon wins, all of Odessa will be destroyed, but if the Council comes, Odessa will fall anyway, so find Azural, find it NOW!" Drammaz turned and ran into the shadows of the ally. "And no matter what, don’t get caught!", he said as he left.

“I?... Dram… thank you…”, she turned and ran off also, she had to find the others before its too late.

Having left the medical building, the group followed Leviathan to the center of Odessa where a large fountain stood. A heavy air suddenly pulled down on their bodies as they attempted to remain balanced.

"This is Odessa's power. This fountain has the power to first destroy, then heal. If the demon were to attain its abilities, it's be difficult for even us to stop it." Leviathan explained.

"It seems we've fallen for a trap!" Deranu shouted.

A shockwave swept through the ground forcing Leviathan to lose his ground. The demon had followed them from behind.

The Council... I can feel that they're anxious to come... Aura stood up firm with a serious expression in her eyes. "We must stop this demon." She shouted out a command to her weapon. "Lavos!"

Deranu immediately charged at the demon with combinations of furious attacks. Attempting to be of as much use as he could, Leviathan joined in the charge to push the demon back. The demon, already having possessed great powers, was able to avoid any major attacks while countering with a few light blows.

"This doesn't seem to be working!" Levithan shouted to Deranu, who seemed to be in a trance. He's not even listning to me! No... He can't hear me.

"The two of you! Step back!" Aura shouted from behind. The others immediately broke from the demon's attack range. A beam of light suddenly shot from behind Deranu and Leviathan and enveloped the demon.

Deranu rushed forward with his weapon at the demon's throat. "With this, we'll be able to return to the way things were."

"You fools..." The demon gritted out with its blood. "Your powers are nothing compared to mine! I've already found... the source of... power..." It attempted to stand back on its feet as Deranu held it down with his weapon. "I already knew where the power was... I just needed the energy to feed to the power."

"What are you talking about, demon?" Deranu asked as he pointed his weapon closer to the defeated foe.

Gasping, Aura realized the demon's intent. "It used our energy in this fight to allow Odessa's power to be replenished!"

Growling, the demon replied, "That's right!" Miasma began to fill the air and the fountain began to glow red. Its pure waters slowly turned into a bloody color.

"It has just attained the power of Odessa!" Leviathan shouted with a charge at the demon.

The demon began to glow, as it regenerated itself. Deranu was tosed across the room by the demon as if he was a young child. As Leviathan and Aura fought the demon Deranu tried and failed to stand.

"that basterds broken evry bone below my waist!" Deranu called across the room to the others as he began to crawl across the room, Determaned to help.

"Damn it how are we supposed to win without you!" Leviathan called back.

Deranu finally reached the center of the room and lifted himself onto the fountains rim. Deranu looked up and wispered to himself "please Odessa help me acheive the power to help You all" as he dropped himself into the fountain in the water and dissapeared. Aura turned to se what had made the splashing sound and yelled for Deranu to no responce.

For the next few moments time seemed to be standing still, Then from the water of the fountain burst two people. There infront of the fountain stood Deranu with his Angelic wings spread wide and beside him was a demon that seemed much like Deranu only his body was completly black, except the red symbols all over his body. The auras of these two grew and merged with those of Deranu's group.

Deranus brother, his demonic half, brought back by the powers of Odessa now stood before them. An existence more powerful than even Aura. The side that he took now would matter little. The Council would be upon them soon.

Aura had heard much of Deranus brother yet was not involved directly with him. It was in a different war, at a different time. Now that he was free, what should she do? Aura could feel Lavos reacting to the combined presence of two powerful demons. If she did not stop it soon, Lavos would break its seal and destroy everything in an attempt to quell this unbalance of power.

Aura looked toward the demon which was Azural and then to Deranu and his brother. She was destine to fight in this battle, Drammaz had told her about this destiny. “Just like my ‘destiny’ to destroy the evil in Chicago, the real evil was beside me the whole time.” She said to herself.

Stepping back, Aura clapped her hands together with Lavos between them. The spear briefly disappeared and when she opened her hands again, Lavos was a golden star-shaped pin once again. “I won’t fight… I can’t fight… Deranu… I… I hope you made the right choice, because it is in your hands now…”

Leviathan looked at her fiercely, “But we need you! Together we can defeat it!”

Aura turned to Leviathan, her eyes were strangely calm, “No, at this point you and I don’t stand a chance, your not strong enough, and I can’t fight anymore or ill be found, and the ramification to that will be much worse. We will sit this one out Leviathan, come.” She expended her hand to him, a teleportation spell ready.

A demon with the power of Odessa was about to fight a demon brought back by Odessa, how very ironic. And what if Deranu lost? Then it would not only be Io that would die.

"I don't know what you are thinking, but I have no choice but to go with you. The situation has turned into a confusing matter. Dealing with it now will only cause panic." Leviathan said as he faced Aura.

Deranu smiled in their direction and shouted. "It's best you two get out of here for now. The energy that will be unleashed in this fight will be incredible. Also, it seems as though Aura needs to get out of here. Guard her well" The demon standing next to Deranu gripped its blade and furiously swung it in Azural's direction. "It seems as though someone's impatient. You two, get out of here!"

"Right! Let's get going." Leviathan said as he pulled Aura by the arm.

The demon in Azural's body began to speak. "You fools. You think you can run away from me? I'll get back to you after I deal with these two fools." It immediately surrounded the field with a black mud-like substance.

Deranu's brother watched the sludge climb his body without motion. With the mud still on his body, the demon brother struck his sword on the ground as if giving a command and the mud shot from his body. "Is this all you've got? I'll show what true powers are from MY demonic side." The brother smirked with a dash towards the demon

Dodging the hundreds of bullet-like shots of mud, the demon brother quickly made his way towards the enemy and struck widely. The invader easily parried off the blow and struck with the hair from Azural's body. Deranu's brother jumped back to avoid the attack.

"Hey, bro. Don't you think that was a little risky?" Deranu asked.

"Shut up! I'm only just getting warmed up!" his brother replied laughingly.

Deranu Dove into the Battle falling into step with his brother.

"i'll strike high..." Deranu said as he and his brother backed away for the battle.
"...and i'll strike low" Awnsered His brother as he disolved into the ground.

Deranu Spred his wings and flew over the demon blocking all light from reaching his eyes. Suddenly, Deranu withdrew his wings and dove with his sword ready. When Deranu's Wings resended the light from behind him blinded the demon, until his eyes reajusted. As Deranu's sword hit the demon his brother dove out from the shadows under the demon shoving his blade straight into the demon. The two attacks split the demon in half.

The brothers sttood up and brushed themselves off and began to walk away, but as the did so the demon's two halfs rejoined and charged at the brothers. The demon ran into the two brothers from behind and knocked them hree feet into a wall across the room.

The two brothers jumped out of the indents in the wall as if nothing had hit them. The brothers stood there for sevral moments just staring at the demon, not an ounce of fear in their eyes.

"shall we give him 50% strength Deranu?" Neromir asked(ya that the name i have made up for Deranu's brother.)
"sure why not"

Suddenly the two disapeared from where they were standing and apeared next to the demon, just long enough to place a large sword wound in the demon's side. This continued for quite a while until the demon fell to his knees and yelled "How dare you fight me like cowerds! Show your faces you scum!"

From out of no-where two sincrinized voices awnsered"fine may that be you dieing wish then!"

Suddenly the two brothers apeared infrom of the demon no more then five feet away. As the demon wound up to strike them down the brothers drew their swords from their sheaths releasing flames that engulphed the room. As the now charred demon fell to the ground it managed to cast one last spell hoping to take the brothers out with it.

With a soundless concussion of light the spell burst in front of the brothers and the building imploded. When the smoke cleared, Aura could see Deranu and Neromir climb from the rubble, but there was no sign of the demon. “Did they just destroy a demon that had the power of Odessa?” Aura asked.

Leviathan replied, “I don’t know, but there’s no… wait! What is that?”

A pile of rubble moved and the demon emerged, glowing with radiant power. “You cannot defeat me as long as I have Azural! I am eternal!” The demon was poised to charge the brothers again but suddenly stopped. With a moaning, its evil aura disappeared and it collapsed to the ground.

“What? It fell? But… it has the power of regeneration! How could that happen?”

Aura expected there to be a trap. She stood on the edge of the rubble, prepared for the worst. Then a small hand grabbed hers which was at her side and gave it a gentle squeeze. Looking down, there was a small boy with bright green hair looking up at her. He smiled and said, “Don’t worry, what Odessa give, it can also take.” Quick as a flash, the boy jumped onto the ruined bounding and headed for the demon.

Aura was perplexed, “What? Who was that, he didn’t even have a spirit aura?”, the very fact that Aura hadn’t noticed him before he touched her was surprising enough.

The boy reached the large indentation where the demon had landed, but its body was gone. In its place was the body of a girl who could only be Azural. The boy tettered on the edge of the hole and nodded, “That’s right! You know what to do brother!”

Deranu and Neromir were standing nearby, and before either of them could react, another boy with bright blue hair raised there arms up and declared, “Deranu and Neromir are the winners!” Before the two could grab him, the second boy shot between them and wend to stand beside his brother. Soon Leviathan and Aura joined them.

“And who might you two be? Your not humans are you?” Leviathan said.

The two boys began talking, “Humans?” “Us?” “No, you have it all wrong,” “That’s right, I’m Mic” “Oh! And I’m Nac,” “And were the representatives of Odessa!” “Yes, and were here to represent him!” “I just said that!” “Oh? You did?”

“So what happened to the demon?” Aura asked.

“Well you see, he was too self centered” “Oh and evil too!” “And because Odessa is a sentient being,” “Odessa decided to drop its power!” “Yup, and now that leaves another question!” “It dose?” “Yes, like what happens now to Neromir!” “That’s not a good thing!!” “Oh?!” “You have to decide what to do now!” “Yes, Odessa brought you back now in order to defeat evil.” “But now your presence is dangerous.” “The Angels will be really mad!” “And not to mention all the demons!” “That too, so you have to decide what to with to do with the time Odessa has given you!”
(to clerify, Mic has green hair and Nac has blue, they share the same spirit)

"well I geuss the fightings not done yet, come on Deranu we can take them. it'll be just like old times!" Neromir exclaimed trying to urg his brother on.

"No, Neromir what we did in those times was never right. I won't slaughter that many people again." Deranu said calmly

"then what do you expect me to let them kill me, or are you sending my back to hell!" Neromir exclaimed begining to yell.

"No, I have another plan." Deranu said turning to Mic and Nac. "is it possible for Odessa to place his soul in my body. Alowing us to switch back and for between the soul in control of our body and the one hidden deep within this bodys sub-consious?"

"yes, yes that is possible.""infact it's very easy.""but it is impossible to reverse." "and you will never be able to undo it" "that's what i meant!" "oh,sry" "do you still want to do it?" "knowing you will share that body for the rest of eturnity?"

"yes i am sure. My brother has spent over a hundred years in hell for sins we shared. the least i can do is share my body with him." Deranu said as if he wasn't even thinking about the current time.

"then odessa shall do it." "yes yes it shall." Mic and Nac chattered as a bright light blinded evryone around. The only thing that could be seen Threw the blinding lights was a pair of shadows. Slowly one shadow disolved and murged with the other. Finally the light faded and only Deranu stood where the two brothers once stood, only now the red markings from his brother's body now blazed threw his skin as well.

The two boys scampered around the new Deranu cheering and laughing. The suddenly the both stopped. Mic leaned over to his brothers ear and whispered, “Act casual.” In the blink of an eye, Mic vanished, and his brother stood strait and tried to whistle.

“What? Where did he…” The three of them looked around. Then a commotion drew their attention. Two men bumbled out of an ally nearby with Mic pushing them from behind. One was Drammaz, and the other was an Angle as well.

“You caught the spies!” “No their the ambassadors” “Emissaries?” “ Well I suppose spies would be better.” The two angels came up to the others with Mic marching army style behind them. “See See!” “Deranu made the choice” “Yes he did!” Is that good enough for you?” “Is it? Is it?”

The Angel with Drammaz looked hard at Deranu, then closed his eyes. “The council will not be pleased with this turn of events and may demand….”

“It is sufficient.” Drammaz said, cutting the other off. “We don’t what to get involved with this anymore than we are. Balance has been restored, that is enough. Is that acceptable Ramuel?”

The other slowly looked from Deranu to Drammaz, and eventually nodded. “Yay!” “That’s good” “Yes it is!” “Oh, Odessa is reacting again.” “Its about time!” “Io’s sprit will be returning soon!” “Ya, but not Azural.” “That is sad…”

“What, Azural? But doesn’t Odessa need Azural here?” Leviathan asked.

“Well normally yes.” “But Azurals power has been abused” “With Odessa in this condition, it will be some time before Odessa can return her soul.” “But Azural will be with us until then.” “Ya! She is nice!” “She sent us to clear things up!” “Yes she did!”

The two brothers jumped down into the hole and stood around Azurals body. “When Odessa is all fixed up we’ll come and see ya again!” “Ya and Azural too!” “We’ll be off” “Oh and Io will be waking up soon!” “Yup, you go see him Chista!” “He may need your abilities” “Later Leviathan!”

In a flash of white light, the two brothers and Azural were gone. Aura felt her heart knot in her chest. She slowly looked over at Drammaz. He face had turned white. And the other Angel named Ramuel was starring hard at her. After a moment he closed his eyes and turned to leave, “We will be going now, this matter will be discussed in the next Council meeting. Drammaz, come.” With the woosh of angelic wings, he vanished. Drammaz gave Aura a long look, his face filled with pain, then followed Ramuel into the sky.

Bursting into the medical room with his sweat-soaked face, Deranu grabbed Io's arm. "You're alive, right? You're alive?!"

"Now I know what Mic and Nac meant." Aura gently motioned both palms to each side and began to chant. "Heilende Aura, Licht von Engeln segnend. Schenken Sie nach diesem Sein gesegnete Wiederaufnahme." Her body shined with the light of all great angels.

"His body! It's changing!" Deranu shouted with awe.

"This... He is returning to his previous form!" Leviathan shouted as vapors left his body. "I suppose... ugh..." He could only attempt to speak as he vommited a golden blood. "It's time... for me to go..." With a few violent coughs, his body broke into golden particles. His voice echoed from the eerie glowing particles. "I suppose it's time for me to step down and allow Demonic Mithas to protect him from here. Farewell, everyone." With his final words, Leviathan returned to the heavens from which he came as a golden shower.

In the silence that followed, Io could be heard mumbling. "In the greatest darkness, light can be found." As he opened his eyes, he could only see a figure like Deranu's, only marked. "What happened to you?!"

"Don't get too excited! You've just recovered." Deranu shouted in Io's direction, punching him back down to the surgical bed. "Although... It seems it'll take a long time for the others to recover..."

"What do you mean by that?!" Io clutched Deranu's shirt and pulled him closer, only to have his eyes avoided. "What happened? Where's Azural?"

"She... She'll be alright in a few days..." Aura couldn't help holding back her tears. "Anyway, just rest for now. The two of us will ensure Odessa is safe during your recovery."

"I see..." Io responded, now looking at his hands. "What happened? Why am I like this?"

"Odessa probably became tired of experimenting with your bodies." Deranu attempted an answer. "For now, rest. There's a lot of work to do for the recovery of Odessa."

"Aura your going to have to fill Io in on what just happened. Mic and Nac are going to need my help in rebuilding the part of Odessa Azural destroyed." Deranu commented before stopping " oh ya and... what was it ... Aura right? we'll fix your problem with the council when we're done as well." Neromir cakled as spoke threw Deranu's body

When Deranu returned to where Mic and Nac had been he found that they were gone and in there place sat a large set of instructions on repairing Odessa's wall. Deranu followed the instructions to the letter, he filled the holes with steal ore, then used flame to welde it together.

"k now we have to place a drop of the water from the fountain on the wall and it will become a part of odessa again. didn't we end up destroying the fountain in the battle? damn it your right, oh well thanks to what Odessa did to us our bloods full of that water we'll just have to use that." Deranu and Neromir discussed outloud.

Deranu cut the end of his finger with his knife and let it bleed onto the wall, and as it did so the wall started to expand and contract as if it were breathing. " well i geusse thats done now for the council!" Neromir shouted as he waved his hand in the air causing a red portal to appear, and just as he jumped in you could hear deranu say to himself "this can't be safe..."

The Eternal Plane - High Realm

The angels of the council sat around a large circular white table discussing, at one end was stood an angel. Large gold chains bound Drammaz’s hands. No archangels were among them. One of the members spoke, “We are sorry for the inconvenience brother but you have been charged of treason. We wish that this hearing will be productive.”

Another angel spoke, “So Chista has been found?” Ramuel responded, “It is very possible, the representatives of Odessa would not lie.” “Is there any evidence that Lavos was with her?” “I did not see any, buy Drammaz here may know,” “Drammaz, your extended contact with Chista has granted you knowledge of her, that’s why you were sent to find her, so we will ask you again, is this angel named Aura indeed Razishta Chista or not?”

Drammaz remained silent for a long time and Ramuel became agitated, “ If you do not respond y….”, Ramuel stopped in mid sentence and stood. Drawing is Diviner, a blue double edged blade, he turned and looked to the far side of the council chamber. Several other angels did likewise. A red dot was growing on the pure white wall of the room. The wall which was to be impenetrable to all magical intrusion simply melted. Deranu stepped through the hole.

“Good evening, I have come to collect someone.” With swift strides he crossed the room, heading for Drammaz. Halfway there Ramuel stood in his path, leveling is blade with Deranus head he said, “This matter dose not concern you, we would ask you to leave!” Deranu chuckled and his voice changed, “Is that a threat?” With a quick hand gesture he tossed Ramuel across the room. “You will all leave Aura, and Chista alone, got that!” Without hesitation several council members activated there diviners at once and shot a unified spell at Deranu. Deranu stumbled a bit, and when he stood again his eyes where red. “That was interesting, well, shall we play some more?” Neromir said grinning.

Odessa – Earth

The main gates of Odessa slowly opened to accept a ragged looking angel, his halo and wings plainly visible, and a light shower of black feathers fell behind him as he hobbled in using his smoldering blade as a crutch. One of the guards walked over to him and asked his business here. He gave him an urgent and fierce look and said, “Io! Aura! Take me to them, NOW!”

Drammaz was quickly ushered to the hospital where Io was and Aura was summoned. She walked in saying, “Drammaz! What? Where is Deranu? Did he...” Drammaz raised a hand for silence. “Aura, Io, listen to me! Deranu, no Neromir is out of control, he came to the eternal plain and … and… “

Aura spoke, “Yes, we knew, he was there to help you and stop the council from coming after me.” Drammaz looked at Aura with a hard look, “The council is no more, Neromir single handedly destroyed them, and he is currently in the prosses of eliminating the angelic army as well.” Aura gasped and stepped away.

“What’s so wrong with that?” Io said, sitting back in his chair, “The council always caused a lot of trouble here on Earth. It’s about time they learned their lesson.”

Drammaz replied, “It’s not that simple, yes the council has cause many wars here on Earth, but the point is that Balance MUST be maintained.” He leaned down and looked in Ios face, “You know all the trouble we have been having with the demons, the gate keepers and demon lords? That was all caused by a slight imbalance, mostly due to Chista leaving their side. Now what would happen if the entire angelic presence was removed from this world at once?! Even Deranu doesn’t have the power to stop the legions of hell from covering this land. We have to stop Neromir now, before all is lost!”

The Eternal Plane-High Realm

"Neromir, you need to stop. The council was our enemy but the armada is needed for balance!" Deranu argued strugling for cuntrol.

"No! They will destroy us if they get The chance!" Neromir Shouted knocking down another angelic gaurd. "wait whats going on!" Neromir yelled as he found that he could no longer move.

"As the angelic's pressence balences out the demons i must control you for that same balance!" Deranu yelled as he pulled out two daggers and stabbed them into his thighs making it impossible for him to walk. " i can't allow you to do this."

Deranu fell against a wall and struggled for control of his oun body as the pain in his leggs got steadily worse. Footsteps started to echo threw the hallway as Deranu became more and more strained. "that better be you guys...Io ... Aura." were the last words to leave his mouth as he closed his eyes on this world.


Within the mind of Deranu/Neromir

Deranu re-opened his eyes to find he was in a completly diffrent place. there were floating peices of rock evrywhere holding evrything Deranu thought about ontop of them, But on the rock next to him stood Neromir. "this has gone on for long enough Deranu. You have two choices: one Bow down to my will, or two spend eturnity locked away in here... My mind!" Neromir chackled as he gave Deranu his options.

Deranu tried to get up onto his feat and fell. It was at this moment that Deranu realised it was much harder for him to do things here then Neromir. "I... I will never... Bow down to you or your will." Deranu said forceing himself to stand.

"Fine then you have made your choise!" Neromir waved his hand and a large torture table apeared and Deranu was forcably strapped down, by what seamed like magic. "Don't bother trying to brake out of that this entire time while you've been trying to stop me from destroying your presious 'balance' i've been slowly coroupting this mind. here... i am ALL POWERFUL!"Neromir yelled as his aura changed to a dark red.

"i don't plan on trying to overthrough your power Neromir...." Deranu said as his wings stretched out of his body and he pulled the slack on his chains. "... i plan on completly desroying you!" Deranu yelled as he broke his bindings and stared Neromir in the face. Deranu's oun shadow was now going a bright white, returning his mind to the way it once was. Deranu dove at his brother pulling a sword out of thin air, Begining their battle.

The Eternal Plane - High Realm

Two squads of angelic guards bursted into the bloodied room and took grasp of the situation. Seeing their target unconscious, the guards took this opportunity to place confinement spells upon Deranu's body. As the guards finished casting their spells, a mysterious figure stood in the shadows and gave order for Deranu's confinement.

"Imprison this half-demon in the Gate of Ruin. We'll deal with him after we re-organize the council." The figure spoke in a clam voice from the shadows.

"Sir!" A guard bowed and ordered the others to follow the figure's command. "What shall we do about the council elders?"

"Dispose of their bodies in the furnace. The heavens need not know of today's events. We will control everything just as we've done in the past." The figure cackled as he turned around and continued down the hall from which he came. "It seems we have found a new weapon to play with."

Odessa - Earth

"Stop Neromir? But doesn't that mean we must stop Deranu as well? Their fusion is permanant, after all." Io said shakingly. "Isn't there some other way?"

Drammaz glinted at Io and quickly turned away. "This is the only thing we can do."

"It seems you'll be facing another problem!" A voice shouted in the distance. Mic could be seen running with Nac beside him. "Yea, before even fighting Neromir, you'll have to face the Bureau of Shadows."

"That's right, the Bureau of Shadows!" Nac repeated.

"The Bureau of Shadows? That's only a myth." Aura waved away its existance.

Mic shook his head and replied, "Myth? It's no myth at all." Nac following, "No myth. They are the force that moves the heavens along. They are the ones who decide who does what and are powerful enough to take on all the heavens single-handedly."

"Can that be?" Io questioned. "That would mean even more trouble if they were to surface at this time! Deranu!"

"Don't worry! He's fine." Nac said smilingly. Mic then walked up to Aura, "But you don't have much time! You must hurry if you want to save Deranu."

Notes:
-Currently, Neromir and Deranu are confined in a tower still within the Eternal Plane. The Gate of Ruin is a place that uses one's own power to confine them inside its walls. The figure who imprisoned them is involved with the Bureau of Shadows. All guards within his jurisdiction of heaven are also low-ranked members.

-The Bureau of Shadows is an organization that elects representatives for the heavens. They also have a large, yet unknown in size, army hidden within the heavens. It is said in myth that each member of the Bureau of Shadows has the power of a thousand arch-angels combined.

Aura nodded, “Yes, ill go at once.”

“We are going with you Aura.” Drammaz said, “They still might be after you, even without the council around. Aura sighed and reluctantly agreed. As they were leaving, Nac grabbed Ios hand.

“Wait a minute!” “Ya, this just in!” “Odessa has a special task for you Io.” “He will be with you in a bit!” “We won’t keep him long!” Thus Io was dragged off by the two brothers.

“Shall we go then? Deranu needs our help.” Aura said to Drammaz.

“Yes, just like old times, is your partner still with you?” Drammaz replied.

“Lavos is always with me…” She said as it materialized in her hand. “But you were always my true partner in battle.”

“I’m honored milady.” With that, they both spread their wings and soared to the Eternal pain to rescue Deranu.

Odessa – Earth

Mic and Nac pulled Io into the center of Odessa where the halfway repaired pool stood. “It’s time, Odessa has made a decision.” They both said, their usual playful voices chanced to a monotone. A pillar of white light appeared around the pool, and Azural emerged form it. She was unconscious, and the brothers caught her on rested her on the ledge. “Odessa has been restored, and now returns its separate existence to this world.” “Odessa will support the war and you, now go, the fate of heaven and earth now rests on you all.” Mic and Nacs bodies reduced to two glowing flares and disappeared into the fountain.

*note: the eternal plane is a fortress created by the angels located high in the atmosphere, it’s the closest place to the spiritual world with-out being there.

Still within Deranu/Neromir's mind (about an hour of fighting after my last post)


Both Deranu and Neromir stood back re-examining each other, fully knowing they were to tired to through out more that one more attack each. finnally after several secounds the two flew at each other, colliding in battle they landed on the ground facing opposite each other.

"i cut you'r arm deep enough that you'll never be able to use a sword again... i win." Neromir calckled as he delivered the news, but stopped when he realised that Deranu was laghing as well. "whats so funny you lost you'll never controll your body again!" Neromir yelled as he fell to the ground unable to move. "what did you do to me!"

"you fool! i let you cut my arm so i could stab a dagger into your neck. You'll never Move again. I win... as the loser you will spend eternity within my mind doing as i comand.and besides Aura will be able to fix my arm with time anyways" And as Deranu said this he disapeared from this world and open his eyes to the real world once again.

Deranu opened his eyes and found he was locked away, with sevral confinement spells placed on him as well. Deranu easily broke the confinement spells and then started to work on where he was. Deranu was about to try to brake out with his oun body strength but then he remembered that Neromir severed the nerves in his right arm. So he summoned his demonic powers and shot a black orb of pure energy at the wall, but when as he did so he was blasted down by twice the strength he put into it. "you fool this is the Tower of Ruin! it'll use any abnormal strength against you double fold!" A voice yelled within Deranu's head.

"Why are you helping me i paralized you for life?" Deranu asked the voice as he looked around the room, tapping on the walls with his working arm. "idiot i may not like you but if you die so do i!" Neromirs voice yelled once more.

Eventually deranu came across a spot that sounded diffrent then the rest of the doorless room. "kay. heres where the door is." He said to himself as he satbbed a knife into the where the lock should have been with his working arm. As Deranu's knife broke the lock the room instantly changed. Where the room was completly solid before it now had windows in wich Deranu could see he was sorrounded by black clothed angels.

"Now that i can leave freely i'll wait untill i know i'll have backup from aura and Io before i leave. these numbers are to great for me, even if i sap out Neromir's power i can't beat them with only my weak arm. oh well Io knows how to contact me, and when he does i'll tell him the situation." Deranu said as he sat down and began to meditate.

With Azural on his shoulders, Io used his magic essence to allow him to soar through the sky after Aura. "We'll be needed to save them, as they've done for us. It's a bit exciting, don't you think?" He yelled ahead of him as Azural slumbered off. "I guess you can't hear me now, can you?" In the distance, he could see Aura and Drammaz reaching the fortress.

"Stop right there!" A woman's voice shouted from above. A stream of darkness poured down from the sky. She revealed herself after the attack. "They call me Aerion, Guardian of the West Skies. You won't be going any further by order of the Shadows."

"No one will be stopping me!" Io shot a glare at Aerion. "I'm sorry, but we'll have to finish this quickly..." He grasped Demonic Mithas firmly in his hands. Being careful of Azural, the swift attacks began. "I haven't been in this body for a while."

Without warning, another attacker sweeped through from behind, almost hitting Azural. Io quickly turned his body and took the hit to his chest. "You fool, don't you pay attention to what you're doing?" A male voice called out. "I am Aerien, Guardian of the East Skies."

"So the two of you are twins? Amusing." Io smirked as he lifted Azural to a better position.

Slowly opening her eyes, Azural looked around in a dazed state. "Io? Is that you?" Her eyes adjusted to the light. "Oh my! What happened to your body?"

"Glad to see you're back, sister." Io replied. "We've got a little business to deal with here, so mind giving me a hand?"

"Alright, but I'm not going to fight." Azural plucked two hairs from her head and began chanting a spell. To allow her the time, Io fought off the two attackers as Azural hung on his shoulders. Within seconds, the skies seemed to have slowed down in time as everyone else moved slowly. The hairs from Azural then injected themselves into the Guardians' bodies as if needles. "That should hold them there for a moment."

A faint resonance began to shake through Io's body as they approached the fortress. "Aura is already inside, but I feel we're needed elsewhere." He notified Azural. "Is this... is it Deranu?" Opening his now-free wings, Io immediately began searching for Deranu's presence.
