Future Zelda games, Future Zelda games

I know this was on the other forum but since were going to have new members and I want ppl who didn't want to vote the last time to vote.

The choices there are a little bit crappy.. so I'll just say "Ocarina of Time style, better graphics, longer game, awesome fight sequences"

Well, I think what they are making right now is the best choice for the moment, but I'd also like to see a game like Link to the past again. Too bad everyone is graphic-crazy at the moment and won't make that possible. Maybe if the game disc wasnt thaken up with half graphics and more than half game data we'd go back to the time when actual good action/adventure/rpgs came out.

I'd also like to see an Action/RPG diablo style game, but that probably would nto fit in to the Nintendo gamemaking process.

I'm with you on the Gameplay > Graphics front. Metal Slug owns over Doom 3.

They should release that like a Bonus disk or whatnot, however seeing that Ocarina of Time is the best selling Zelda ever, and Windwaker was outsold by Mario Kart and Super smash, the developers decide to jump ship, and go back to realistic graphics. However because so many people hated Windwaker(personally I had nothing against it, story sucked however) the new one will not come close to the success other Zelda games had.

Yes but then again no Zelda game ever had a fantastic story. It was always save Zelda from Ganondorf, and it got boring after Zelda number 1. Personally I play the game because of the puzzles and the vast missions, not because of the story.

Majora's mask had a great story ;p.

But, LTTP story was actually a bit different than that, and was actually decent.

I liked the Wind Waker story. Its actually a little bit more differnent from the usual.

I played the first few levels/dungeons of Wind Waker, the story wasnt very good. Also, everyone I know sys the story sucks except you Chris.

If you are using me as an example I say every Zelda game's story sucks. Had anyone played any because of it's stories, then Zelda Ocarina of Time would never come into existence, as demand for it would be pitiful. Therefore ever since the first Zelda came out its been all adventure and dungeons, and the story was just filled in in the end, to encompass the other stuff.

Well you are right, nobody does play the game for the story.

Gameplay > Story too.

If they're gonna make the new game a success it has to seem like a real epic. Ocarina of Time did, but a little kid in a boat on a sea consisting of two colours doesn't seem like a grand adventure. But in Wind Wakers defence, I quite enjoyed the final fight with Ganon and the ending sequence.

Incidentally, has anyone seen the trailer for the new Zelda game yet?

No I haven't. Does anybody have a link please.
