How can you not love the SNES? In my opinion, the best system ever, with the best games. How can someone forget classics such as Link to the Past, Super Mario RPG, and Chrono Trigger for these new fangled graphics and "high-tech" consoles. This system had everything. RPGs were represented through tons of games. Platformers such as Mario World and Mega Man. Fighting? Racing? Sports? All there. Anyone agree with me?

Only 10 great games? Actually Genesis may have had a few games that were good, but I think that the games that were great for SNES were much better than the games that were great for Genesis. It could also be that im biased towards RPG games. dry.gif

Yeah the SNES was a great system. It had a lot more good games than Genesis. The only good games, for Genesis, that come to mind are the Sonic games, there are more but too lazy right now.

My alltime favorite game is on the Genesis, however I would think Snes was better as it had more RPGS, and in this era, for me at least, they were the thing most worth playing.
I tried a few other games on SNES, such as the street fighters and whatnot, however nothing beats our Shining Force Hooah.gif

Wow, I don't have every game you listed, but I have most, and yes, those are amazingly great games. If only game designers would take a step back towards classics like those and ones on snes. Jarred, why don't you make a list of the best SNES games?

Just from a glance over that list, a lot of those games are also for SNES. For example, Earthworm Jim, boogerman, Castlevania, aladdin, Beavis and Butthead, Double Dragon, Desert Strike, Ballz, Batman Returns, Cool Spot, Clay Fighter, B.O.B., and Chuck Rock. That's only up to the E's in your list.

Super NES games? OK
Super Mario RPG
Link to the Past
Megaman X- X3
Super Mario All Stars
Super Mario World
Super Mario Kart
Star Fox
Chrono Trigger
Final Fantasy Series
Donkey Kong Country
Donkey Kong Country 2
Donkey Kong Country 3
Secret of Mana
Secret of Evermore
Earthbound
Super Metroid!!
Super Punch Out
Killer Instinct
Contra 3
DOOM!
Breath of Fire 2
Kirby's Dreamland series!!
Ogre Battle
FZERO
ADVENTURE ISLAND!!!!

Well that's about 25, I don't feel like naming ones that arent off thetop of my head.

You didn't say Uniracer/Unirally. Why the snuff not.

Anyway, I know that the two consoles shared a lot of games, I just thought it'd be easier to count them as well. Just because it's on another console doesn't mean it's not a great game.

For the record I'd like to add that I have both the 32X and Sega CD as well.. and they also have a few good games each. e.g. Sonic CD (Probably the most underrated Sonic game ever)

I never said they weren't great games, just that if you are trying to show Genesis has better games than SNES, there is no reason to name games that are on both systems.

True. But for one thing I can't be bothered to go and find out exactly which games were on both, and also some of the games that were on the SNES too weren't as good/popular as their Genesis alternates. Everyone knows Genesis is Earthworm Jim's real console.

Although I will admit Cool Spot belonged on the SNES.

Yeah, the sales for the SNES version sucked terribly. They rocketed sky high for the Genesis version.. maybe because Genesis got it first.
