Hello all,
I've been using Chessmaster 10th Edition to assist me in analyzing my games, and from what I can tell it seems to be doing a pretty good job spotting tactical blunders. I was wondering if there's much of a difference between the capabilities of Fritz and CM and whether it's worth upgrading? Thanks for the feedback. |

I have both programs. Personally, I think that if all you use it for is tactical blunders, then Chessmaster is fine. I think Fritz does a better job analyzing positional play. Most strong players that I've spoken with about this think that anybody rated below 2000 should analyze their own games and only then use a machine to check for blunders. I personally like Fritz because I think the layout is better and it is easier to use than Chessmaster. But if you are happy with Chessmaster I see no reason to upgrade. Tony |
