what do you do to just mess around? For me, an abundance of extra lives cannot go unused, so I usually kill myself in amusing ways. My personal favorite is doing backflips under Thwomps to see what position I take when I get squished.

Simple, I go to Battlerock and orbit things. Those flying saucers are pretty fun to long jump around. Also, there's a planet in Deep Dark Galaxy that shrinks. It makes it really easy to orbit around.
