I’ve been waiting here so long, I’ve gotten over it since you have been gone;

The sky was bright, with a tiny bit of clouds in the sky and the bright orange ball of fire—which of course was the sun. But really, it didn’t help with his mood. Kicking the ground, as he steadily walked his way to the London park. It was safer there than anywhere else, at least it seemed. No dark witches or wizards crawling around, just yet. No the only place that wasn’t going to be touched by the darkness, he swore to that. As long as they got through their plans, and finished with the current situation.

Which was sure to happen soon, hopefully.

Nothing was going to be right, especially since he had to replace his sister’s job with giving some messages to the other members of the resistance. He hated being the messenger, he just hated the idea of it. Usually it meant that he was part of the lower section, which he was, and he was a bit jealous. The only reason why he was going to do it now, was because his sister was gone. Gone for good, at least that’s what it felt. Though he still didn’t give up on the subject of her, he wasn’t going to loose. Why were they waiting a few more days to sense where she was? It wasn’t right at all…not at all.

So what was he to do? With his current state, he didn’t even know if he could get through a message, as it felt. Sighing he turned the corner and stood at the place that he so loved, the bench under the beautiful pine tree. That was going to be their spot to meet, and talk. Hopefully Lily was going to come, though he knew James wasn’t going to. It was pretty much a given. He was too busy trying to cover up everything and log down the stuff that he needed too, Dai’s job yet again.

Which even made him more depressed to think of really. Why had they taken her of all people?

Sitting down upon the wooden bench, he leaned back and looked up at the sky, they would find her. Even if it took everyone to help them. They needed too, she wasn’t safe and she was too loved to let die.

    Lily Evans was scared. For the first time in her life, she wasn't in control and it terrified the crap out of her. Throughout her whole life, she had been the one calling the shots and making decisions that would affect her. Now she wasn't so sure what the future had in store for her. She had no idea whatsoever whether or not she would be alive the following day. She didn't know if her parents and her older sister would be alive the following day. She didn't know if any of her friends would even be there the next morning. The only one who seemed to know these things were Lord Voldemort and his followers. Now they were calling the shots and she didn't like it one bit which was why she had joined the Resistance in the first place. Being a muggleborn put her at risk but being so close to Dumbledore put her at an even greater risk.

    People were disappearing one by one. It was almost like he was torturing them by doing it so slowly. One at a time to heighten the suspense and the fear. Voldemort was an evil mastermind and he knew it. He was the only one who had the ability to scare the entire wizarding world into a frenzy, some hiding and some finally coming out of their shells. Lily was too stubborn to go into hiding, as many of her friends had urged her to do. She refused because she wouldn't have anyone die because of her. She wouldn't.

    So, she had been told to meet Peter by the park to get a message. Her hand tightly clasped around her wand in her pocket, she slowly and cautiously entered the park right on time. Her senses were well aware of her surroundings and it seemed that every movement and sound was intensified greatly. Her nostrils flared as she thought she heard a noise. Quickly turning towards the source of the sound, she was both relieved and disappointed to see that no one was there. Her brilliant green eyes scanned the park and she easily noticed Peter. She quickly made her way over to him and could only manage a small smile. "Peter," she greeted him with relief.

I’ve been waiting here so long, I’ve gotten over it since you have been gone;

He watched from the corner of his eyes the crowd that passed by him, looking them over trying to keep a good eye out for the red head that he was waiting for. Though she’d probably be easy to spot in the crowd, he still couldn’t rely on just knowing that, he had to examine them. Just in case, due to the disguises people could come up with these days, and polyjuice potions that they used. Easily they were all hidden away under just a simple thing and looked exactly what your friend was; the only thing was that you had to watch over every movement just in case they were just spies.

But you couldn’t be so sure anymore, or too safe. These times called for the up most precaution.

Then a light sweet voice hit his ear and he smiled, looking for the face that he was looking for. Lily, the beautiful red head that was one of the main leaders of the resistance, and the beautiful wife to James Potter. Really, he did not know how he had gotten such a good catch, and all he could do was curse that James Potter to the next life. Even if they had grown to be on somewhat good talking turns, Lily always seemed to be a little more friendly to him. She was a sweet heart and wished sometimes that she’d influence Dai. Make Dai a little more enjoyable to be around, really. They needed that at that point in time, really. But, that couldn’t happen at that moment at least.

Holding out a hand, he bowed a bit and winked, “Well you made it without any thing kidnapping you. That is good, for in what I am about to tell you, we have enough to deal with.” Sighing, he remembered Dai again, and wished that she would be there instead of him. She would be telling Lily what to do, and what missions she had. Though instead, it appeared like they were just short of that. And he truly needed her back now, and not later. “Hopefully you’ll join us.”

Patting at the seat right next to him, he urged her to sit down. “It’s better if you sit.”

    Lily raised an eyebrow as she listened to what Peter had to tell her. She sighed, her shoulders slumping slightly forward. She knew that it was bad news - every message that was passed on in the Resistance was bad. However, just having him clarify that it was bad news took all of her hope. She eyed the bench where he had ushered her to take a seat. "Alright," she informed him, her voice just above a whisper.

    She slowly took a seat, her hand still wrapped around the wand in her jacket pocket tightly. You couldn't be too careful nowadays. "What is it, Peter," she asked, turning to stare at him anxiously. She gnawed on her lower lip, knowing that she wasn't going to like the news.

Looking straight at Lily, a bit of a sigh and holding back any sadness he felt. Since the lost of his sister was still fresh in his mind, and he still pinned so badly to go by himself and rescue her, without the wait of the group, really they could go with out that many people. They could save her, all they needed was about maybe four people, five people tops. Death Eaters weren’t that smart, especially since they were leaded by Bellatrix, at least with this situation. It was truly something they didn’t have to wait for, but he had to think of something else.

He needed to give Lily a message, and not a rant.

Lily was not here to hear him rant, really there was not a thing about it in the letter he sent. It was just a simple message he had to give, and it was just as bad as the news he received. Well, it was about the same news, really. Just a few things had changed like where to meet up with them for the planning meeting and what they were probably going to do. But, he had to stop getting off track and actually tell Lily, since it probably had been a few minutes since he said that he had the message. Instead he had spent a few minutes ranting inside his head.

So now, again sighing, he cleared his throat, “We’re doing a rescue mission. Dai has been captured.” He was going to ease this out, so it looked like a totally normal conversation. He didn’t want any suspicion.

    Lily held her breath as he didn't respond for a few moments. In reality, it was probably a moment but to Lily it was a long, stretched out matter of what seemed like ten minutes. With each silent moment that passed, Lily's stomach churned. It couldn't be good if he was waiting to say it. Was it building on the suspense perhaps?

    She didn't know.

    All she knew was that she knew she wasn't going to like what he had to say. She blinked in shock at when he finally said what he had come to say.

    'We’re doing a rescue mission. Dai has been captured.'

    Lily's heart dropped at that moment. Lily hadn't been very close to Dai, but she knew her well enough to know a great loss when she saw it. "I'm so sorry, Peter," she said, her eyes softening as she looked at him. She knew that he was terribly close to his sister and how hard this must've been for him. "Who's on the mission," she asked curiously, silently hoping he wouldn't say Jame's name. Lily wasn't Lily Evans now...she was Lily Potter and now she wasn't only looking out for herself but for James as well. If he was on the mission, she was.

As he looked at her reaction, he nodded in compliance to what she said and sighed, “It’s okay. As long as we get her back, I think we should all be okay Especially Remus, and I.” He shrugged and then looked down at the ground. Yeah, he missed her dearly and it was a major loss. But they were all going to fix it, and save her. The Resistance needed her anyways, being that she was one of the lead people in it. Really, she was the one who dealt all the missions and kept things up to date. Did a lot of the research too, and plus other werewolves needed her, she was trying to find that damn cure. But, they were going to find her, or she was going to break out herself. Either way, he had a feeling that she would be okay in the end.

Though turning his attention back at Lily, he nodded again and placed a hand into his pants pocket looking for what she needed to be able to work in the mission. Her and her darling husband really, “Well you and James will be part of it, assigned as the distractions. But, that’s all I can mention in public ears. The rest you can read about in this note here, you’ll learn more about it all at least. I still have a laundry list of things to fill you in on, given courtesy of Remus.”

Rolling his eyes, he sighed. Really, why did he have to be the messenger boy at that moment. Why couldn’t Remus come back here and do this. Sure, he was trying to pick at Dai’s location, but still it was a part of the job title. He needed to be doing this himself, though Peter would just have to accept his fate. “You will need to get out the extra polyjuice potions we had brewed up from the last mission.” Just the thought of that made his stomach turn. It was truly some disgusting stuff…
