The war has ended with no hope for the good side, as they watched the killing of their favorite wizard and the rise of an evil power. It ended earlier than predicted, and even started earlier than anyone could know, but the out come was totally different than fore told. With the Dark Lord taking the reigns of the society, life as all the witches and wizards knew it was at a close. The moon rose in the sky and it stayed forever night, casting the wizarding world into it’s shadows. Yet, under the very nose of Voldemort a new group brews to help the world, to rid the world of Voldemort. Chose a side, the side of the sun or the side of the Moonlight shadow..

A cloud of smoke rose over a girls head. Mary wished she could say that it was from her breath because it was cold, but it was almost August and she couldn't pull that one off. Oh yeah, and the fact that she held a cigarette between her fingers. She wasn't one to smoke a lot and she'd just picked up the habit about a month ago, though some people would think that she'd been smoking for years. Things had just been happening that she didn't like. First her father calling about the death of her mother, the warning her gave her, and now Dai was gone. She hated the feeling that came with each one of these events. They were all dread, confusion, and helplessness.
She had walked out of her parents life the summer before her seventh year and only saw her mother when her father wasn't around. She kept thinking that if she had been there through the way, maybe her father wouldn't have over reacted and done what he did. Stupid Death Eaters, she had personal revenge for her father. Next came the warning from him about her being careful. She would love to think that he actually cared, but instead she watched her back as if her father was breathing down her neck. Who knew if he would come after her with her mother out of the way. It wouldn't surprise her. And now Dai. Of course she had Remus, but she had even talked to Dai the morning before she disappeared. Talked to her and saw her, and now she was gone. She wondered if it had happened right after she left, she felt awful.
Now she was waiting for Remus Lupin, one who she trusted very much since the last couple years of Hogwarts. They had gotten closer then she had thought. They had gotten together before, discussing the issues that lay ahead and what they needed to do. Now they needed to act. And this was what she was doing leaning against the wall on a nearly deserted street. She had dressed in mostly black, but that wasn't saying much considering she had wore dark colors since her mother died. She just wasn't a happy person the past couple weeks. Her hair was laying in her normal curls over her shoulders, though a ponytail was on her wrist for if she really needed it. In the back of her jeans, what looked like a stick to muggles, was really her wand. She wasn't going to just carry it around out, that wasn't the safest thing to do these days.
Now she closed her eyes and brought the cigarette back to her lips. She was determined to finish it before Remus was to show up, but she couldn't guarantee anything of the sort. She knew that she should have her eyes open, it wasn't safe anymore. She figured that she would hear someone approaching her when it came to Remus showing up. If not..well, she wasn't sure how it would turn out. Maybe this was how Dai disappeared, though as far as she knew Dai hadn't picked up smoking like Mary had. But, she could just imagine Dai going with a fight, not relaxed and not caring.

Remus was heartbroken, he's just contacted Mary beforehand. Hopefully she'd be waiting there. Dai... his Dai... gone, stolen taken from him.. and in times like this!? What was going to happen..? Worry was clouding his mind, he wasn't exactly thinking strait as the nineteen year old half jogged and half walked through the almost deserted streets of Diagon Alley. No one really came out anymore... it wasn't safe to come out. It wasn't safe to do anything.
Sighing he could smell cigarette smoke a while off. His animal senses aiding in that and he scrunched his nose for a second before adapting. His mother used to smoke.. it didn't effect witches and wizards as much as muggles. But his mother had been a muggle.. had. she'd died of lung cancer awhile back. He hated those little rolled peices of paper for that reason. But it was he who'd started it or... so he thought, the whole stress of having a wolf in the house... it must have been to much for her or somthing.
Brushing the thoughts from his head, Remus walked down the streets, Peter a little ways behind him. Remus was determined.. and... he also didn't know if he wanted a conversation right now. All his wanted was his Daimond back.
Glancing off towards where he saw a witch taking a drag on a cigarette he sighed. Mary... things seemed to be getting to her too. "Mary" Remus said, but his voice carried through the little town unlike it would have a few years ago.

Shit. Remus had caught her smoking again. She opened her eyes to see him down the street and quickly blew smoke out as she dropped the other half of her cigarette on the ground and stepped on it. She slowly walked towards him, her arms crossed so she didn't reach for the pack of cigarettes in her front pocket. "Sorry..." She said as she moved closer to him, stopping. She had to admit, he didn't look good, but she was sure she didn't look too good either. She ran a hand through her hair and caught his eye.
The look on his face only made her crave more nicotine, sure that hers reflected just about the same. Though she was sure that Remus was hurting more then her. She vaguely saw Peter behind him and sighed softly. "Alright then...What do we need to go over before we go?" She asked, crossing her arms again over her chest and putting most of her weight on one leg as she watched him. She wasn't even sure if they needed to go over anything, but she figured that she would ask.
Finally she averted her eyes from him and looked at the ground as she waited for an answer. With everything going on and everything that had happened, she didn't feel like the same person. She hoped that helping with rescuing Dai would help this a little bit. That would be one thing off her list that had affected her so. Though that wasn't the only reason she was doing this. Dai was like her sister, they'd come even closer in the years that followed Hogwarts.

Don't know what to do, and she makes me sad;
Okay, so he was worried more than anything over his dear younger sister, but there was a point in time where the body grew tired of running. Especially in rain, with the ground so wet and soggy and the extra care of thinking about what would happen if he took the wrong move. He had needed to keep his balance, which meant that was more of a distraction to his mind, and that made him tired. So, still hands in pockets he grumbled as he followed after Remus, why did she have to be taken on a night like this. Rain, rain and more rain, it was hard to do anything in weather like that. It was just terrible.
Though, it seemed that it made an effect on shop owners, and a few moments before he had talked to the person who owned the pet shop, well at least that was the easier way of putting it. Once he began to ask about the customers that had come in, the poor owner began to flood his head with information, and even if asked if he was related to the mahogany haired woman whom reserved a little minx mixed kitten. Which, he of course said yes and decided not to tell Remus of the kitten, as it seemed that that wasn’t the only thing she had placed a reserve on. If they got Dai back, it seemed that Remus had a great Dane and cat to deal with.
He guessed that Dai as feeling more motherly, and alone than ever.
Which that would explain why she went missing so easily, maybe being to clouded up to even realize that there was someone stalker him. Really though, she might have felt stressed too, due to her role in The Resistance. Plus working on that cure, she really had been stressed. Peter began to feel pity for his sister, it seemed that he wasn’t doing such a good job keeping her stress free, and being an open ear when she needed. And now, it seemed that all he could do for his sister was regret.
Looking up, he saw that Remus had stopped short of a woman. This was great, they were getting more hope. It seemed that the two now had someone to talk to, and get some help from. It was Dai’s best friend, really it was Dai’s and Peter’s other sister. She had gotten that close to the family, Mary was just that great. And as he approached the two of them, he sniffed the air and smiled holding out a hand, “Please.. I need a hit of nicotine.” Sure, his sister’s didn’t approve of such things, especially Dai, but it put him at ease. Something that started out as a statement grew to a hunger, and now he couldn’t stop. He needed it so bad at that moment. And Luckily enough Mary smoked the same type as he.

Remus listened to the two and sighed shaking his head. "It's alright Mary... and Not really any news.." he murmered and looked around. "but... I can smell Dai all over this place.. she was here about an hour or so ago..." he said and took a deep breath. Yeah... he could smell her the cigarettes however made him scruntch his nose. "here... stay here i'm just going to have a look around.. see if I can track a scent alright?" he told them both, barley watching them as he turned on a heel and started to smell, avoiding the smoke as much as he could.
Seemed everyone had started to smoke nowadays he'd been bothering them all to stop but really, it had gone to long and there wasn't much hope of quitting untill this war was over.
Shaking his head again he tried to manuver his scent around the rain and sighed, why did it have to be pouring..? it would wash any clues away. And Remus was marvolous at finding clues. He sighed and finally started to near a shop window. Stopping he took a deep sniff. Rainwater, faint secondhand smoke that was drifting through the polluted air. The mud under his feet... and... there it was. Strong as it could be right now was Dai's perfume, that and the faint smell of chocolate that followed her around.
"Here.." he called. "she was right here..." he said as he looked along the ground. "Damn rain" he muttered. Any hope of a footprint trail was lost... he'd have to either go by scent or.. just try his hardest.

Mary smiled at Peter as he walked up, a rather sad smile more then her cheerful one. But, she could hardly remember the last time she had been happy. Maybe the morning she had talked to Dai, but that mood had quickly went away after Remus and Peter told her about her going missing. "Here." She said, pulling the pack of cigarettes out of her pocket and handing him one. It was really hard to put the pack back in her pocket without grabbing one for herself. But, she figured that she would smoke one in a while, she could never hold very long. Out of the other pocket she pulled a lighter and handed it off to Peter with another sigh.
"No, I haven't heard anything. I got here just about half an hour ago...just...hoping I guess." She said, letting out a small, rather not happy laugh. She watched as Remus walked off to start snooping around. Mary had walked around the building a couple times since she'd been there. But of course she didn't have the smell like Remus did. He would be a lot better at finding out whether she had been there or not. Meanwhile she stepped closer to Peter so at least she could smell the cigarette, though her eyes remained on Remus.
When Remus said she had been here about an hour ago, Mary sighed. Had she showed up any earlier, she may have been there when Dai was. She tried not to let this fact show on her face. Then Remus said where she had been. She gave a look to Peter quickly and then slowly started after Remus, looking around. Not that she would be much help. There was no other trace other then her smell. She glanced at the spot Remus had told them she had been and shook her head, crossing her arms again.
Her eyes went to the ground, though she knew there would be no footprints. "Anyway you can follow her scent further? Though if they apparated...there's no way." She knew this and she was racking her brains for anything that would help them out. Her arms uncrossed and she reached up to tug on a piece of her hair, which was rather...well, soaked. Not that she cared right now. All she cared about was what they were doing. "What about..." She paused, trying to think as she walked away from the spot a little ways forward and scanning the ground for anything. "I'm not sure yet."

Don't know what to do, and she makes me sad;
With a smile and a sigh of relief, he took a cigarette from the pack and twirled it in his fingers. Sure, it was a bad habit to have, but it was the only thing that would keep him sane. It was truly sad when you needed to rely on something that was material. But, when you did you did. There was never a time that he could remember, at least anymore, when he didn’t need one. Though, when he place the thing into his mouth and took the lighter from her hands he smiled. Sure it wasn’t a happy go lucky smile, but it was a smile none the less. The only one that actually had something behind it, a bit of relief; he had something that would keep him calm during these times. And as he lit this thing, he took a long drag of it and released it. Now he was feeling a little bit better, “Thankyou Mary.”
Now looking towards the alleys in front of him, he sighed and only wished that they found her there. Not in pain, but more or less defueling from being pissed. But, of course there was no sign. No she wasn’t there and she wasn’t ever going to be there as much as he wanted her too. He missed her so badly right now, his little sister. Taking another long drag off of the cigarette he sighed and then shook his head. He couldn’t think bad, Dai wouldn’t like that. If she was in his spot, she would have not thought of those thoughts. Peter would have to try and be her.
And then he heard the exclamation by Remus and his final conclusion, and he couldn’t believe it.
Really it was a good thing that Remus was such a good smeller, lucky enough he was a werewolf too. He knew the scent of Dai, and he had seemed to pick it up. Once he heard those words, his heart started beating faster and his blood pressure rise. There was hope to finding his little sister, she had been there, and his sister was there. And then he knew that she had been picked up and captured, for if she was there…and then not, that would explain such an occurrence. Now, they had to find her, really. How long did they have if she was captured? He couldn’t think of the possibilities if they didn’t get there in time. He couldn’t, he didn’t want a death in the family already.
Following after Remus, he took another drag off of the cigarette; sure it would make it harder for him to keep on going. But, it didn’t faze him. He needed to be calm while going through this. He needed to be for Dai. “Remus, is that all you can find?”

Remus' nose wrinkled slightly as the two came over, cigarette smoke coming to his senses and he worked around it, Knowing it was no use at the moment to give them a lecture to quit and he sighe dlooking around.
Deep brown eyes penetraiting the rain but mostly his other senses at work. Who cared about sight? Remus didn't need it, he liked it.. but it wasn't a requirment for him. You could put Remmy in a dark maze and he'd tell you the way out in a heartbeat.
"Umm.." he frowned and started to walk the way it went and frowned before coughing and backing up with a grotesque expression on his face. "Well there's somthing there... some sort of... really strong stuff" he grimmanced trying to get the scent from his nose. "Someone was here because it interlocks with hers.."

Mary simply nodded to Peter when he said thanks. Her mind was past the whole needing a cigarette. She was glad of it, but now she was working on how to speed this up. Remus now had two scents, obviously the second one he didn't recognize. But, that definately meant that there was someone taking her places. Well that had been obvious to begin with, someone taking her. But, now they basically had solid proof.
She didn't dare get too close to Remus, since she smelled of heavy cigarettes. "Well...Is there any way to identify the scent?" She asked him curiously, looking around the area that Remus was at. "I mean..." She paused. Why would Remus know the scent? "Maybe it was someone who went to Hogwarts or something, and you would've picked up on their scent at one point in time. I mean...there are a lot of people that we went to school with that have gone to the Dark Lord, right?" She asked. Maybe she was being a bit too hopeful, but it was worth a shot at suggesting. At least she was suggesting something or another, whether plausible or not...
She figured that if it was a Death Eater, they would know how to clean up their tracks, making it even harder for the three of them. And hence why whoever it was was using a rainy night. It was perfect really. And what Death Eater would leave something behind? "Honestly...I don't know what we're going to find when most of the trace has been washed away. They were smart to pick a night like this..." She said. Ok, maybe she wasn't the most optimistic one at the moment. But, she couldn't take back what she had already said as she scanned the ground, squinting against the rain with a small sigh.

Now this was a bit of amazement that Remus could find the scent and also at the same time pick up on another, though it did give them all proof that Dai was kidnapped. And to him, that was all he needed to know, in a strange and demented way. He was happy that his sister was going to be okay, and by that she wasn’t really in the hands of other people than the Death Eaters. At least with Death Eaters they knew that they only had two secret hide-outs, thanks to the knowledge that Mary once gave them. Though, it was more through Mary’s mother than anything. Plus, it was obvious that most of them were in the places that called for a dark type of attitude. So, at least they would be able to get it narrowed down, if anything. That would make it quicker to get her back, alive and well.
Though the thought of her being kidnapped still pissed him off, of course.
It wasn’t right that they had taken his sister, if anything they should have taken him. He really didn’t care about himself as much as he cared for Dai. Really, they could butcher him and his spirit would just be thrilled to be let outside of the body and freed. Since his life was already on its way towards that direction, as time went on that was becoming apparent. Sad, yes, but true. But flicking the cigarette to the ground, he stomped on it, making sure to release any anger out on it and calm down. It was really needed, or else he would have exploded. No one should have taken his Dai.
Shaking it off, he stood a ways from Remus and agreed with Mary, with just a simple nod of the head. “Tell us the scent you have, I know most of the Death Eaters, since I went to school with most of them, you know. I mean…they were in Slytherin.” So, maybe he hated being what he was, a snake, but it helped in some ways. Really, it truly helped when times like this appeared. He could at least help identify who to follow, just by what they smelled like…since it seemed that they all wore their own scents (expensive perfumes) and showed it off with pride. Really, he did prove to be some what of help. As much as Dai complained that she was siblings with a Slytherin whom should have been a Ravenclaw like herself. That always made him chuckle.
Oh, how he hoped that Dai was going to be okay. He knew she was strong, but he didn’t know how strong she was going to be with all of this happen. All he could hope was that luck was with her, and that she would be strong no matter what. If anything, he wished that she’d turn into a werewolf and rip their heads off. At least then she would be for sure safe, even though she’d let her secret out.
But, at that point nothing like that really mattered.

Remus wrinkled his nose again in disgust as he took another whiff and coughed once more backing up. Damn this stuff was strong. Even if it had been here for awhile. "I dunno.. I can.. sorta recognize? It's pretty expensive, they don't sell stuff that smells like skunk anywhere else" he insulted trning his head away with a grotesque expression.
"Umm..." He sighed and shook his head. "Slytherin... I know it's from Slytherin.." He whispered. It was on the tip of his toung. He could recognize that stuff from somewhere. "Zabini... Snape.." he started to go over names of Slytherins. "Bulstrode..." he frowned and suddenly paused. "Black..." now which one.. there was the three sister, and Sirius' brother. Sirius was excluded head on. and pardon Regulus, he didn't wear woman's purfume.

Mary loved the fact that Peter agreed with her. It made her feel like her suggestion wasn't way out there and she was just hoping too much for an answer. In a way it did make more sense now then when she had said it. She was sure that she had just blurted it out on a whim without giving too much thought to it. She was suddenly glad that she had made the suggestion, maybe it would get them somewhere. Though they seemed to be doing an ok job on advancing on what little they had. It definatly wasn't easy, but what was nowadays? She sighed at the thought.
She scrunched her nose up when Remus said it smelled expensive and like skunk. Then, listening to the names that he listed off that had been in Slytherin, Black struck a key. Of course they could eliminate to two male Blacks that had gone to school with them. But, one of the girls stuck out in her mind. "Well, smelling expensive and like skunk...No doubt it was Bellatrix. I'm surprised the whole school didn't smell like her, she wore the perfume so heavily...It could practically make you gag from another table in the Great Hall. Not to mention when you fight her." She had to admit, she had been in plenty of fights with Bellatrix Black. Someone they didn't know could walk past the two and hardly glance at them and could know the two were enemies.
"But, that's just from personal expeirences I know that. Her sisters could have smelled the same way...I didn't bother with them much." She said with a small shrug as she sighed again. That last part she knew wasn't helpful, but she figured the first part she had shared would help a bit. She was still sure that it was Bella if it was a Black. "And I highly doubt that she's changed any sort of perfume. She wore it like she loved it. She probably did or something." She added with another shrug. Hopefully this was getting them farther.

Well, the only person that he could really think of to have such a heavy perfume was Bellatrix. The crazy bitch that thought she ruled the world, he never knew why Regulas was never so offended by her. She was a complete psychotic case, and no one bothered to throw her where she belonged. Especially that boyfriend she fell after, or fell after her. Either way, Peter never got why someone would even touch the skunk-ish woman. Never looked to keen on the scales really, when it came to brains either, he bet that she just relied on those pretty looks she thought she had.
But that perfume was definitely hers if that was what Remus had smelled, Peter could sweat for it.
Though he preferred not to swear for the name of the Black, at least the females of that family, they needed not the ego boosts. Instead they really needed something to knock them off their high horses, and keep them away from his family. Plus of course the rest of The Resistance, being that they were family too. But, sighing and shaking his head he scowled, “Bellatrix. It’s definitely her, she tried to hit on me once, and all I could think about was dead skunks. Really…” He shrugged and scrunched up his nose, that was one of his worst memories and if anything a possible boggart. Bellatrix was just too much of a night mare for him to even touch, really. It was just too disturbing and too…wrong.
Luckily enough though he fell into the right hands, and was able to have a bit of hope behind it. He was just happy he never fell into the wrong hands, and he had Dai to actually lead him in the right direction. This way, he felt like he was on the path to a better world anyways, then the one he already knew. And better yet, he knew they were on a path to finding Dai now…to save her…

Remus sighed and nodded. "If you two think it's her it has to be.." he agreed. Remus, while at school and even now wasn't one to get into alot of fights. He usually stayed near the back or just avoided conflict completley. He never really had spoken to Bellatrix Black on good terms so... he wouldn't really know what the girl smelt like. It wasn't like he went around taking whifs of people he didn't talk to either.
"Alright... do we know where they are?" he asked as he sniffed the disgusting purfume again and it ended. "They apparated. No doubt..." Remus sighed frowning and looking at the waterridden dirt, almost hopeful he'd find some sort of a clue there. Anything. even though he already knew who'd taken her. It barley calmed his stomach.
