Male and Female Circumcisions

so... i watch a documentary on CNN and male and female circumcision..

It's really controversial in terms of tradition, religion and even self morals...

so i wanted to know what other people think =)

I say no to female circumcision... it's pretty much mutilating the female organ and cause hemorrhages, infections and you name it.. the list goes on.. =/

...as for male circumcision, I guess I'm okay with because if the doctor can do it then why not. Also because for hygienic reasons=P But, at the same time it's not the baby's decision whether or not it wants to be circumcised.

Lolwut? I never knew CNN had these weird documentaries... like you, I'm not one for female circumcision. Just knowing it can cause hemorrhages and infections is bad enough, but more? And as for male circumcision, ehhhhhhh, I'm all for it, considering licensed professionals do it and like edkims mentioned, it decreases the chances of p****e infection.

Well, from what i heard, circumcised or not, they still function the same, so I don't think there's any point in circumsicion

actually there is a difference... female circumcision.. basically you are mutilated it, cutting off the clitoris, pretty much cutting out the female area right out, or sewing up the labia. So the function of sexual intercourse for this particular women would be hindered... haha...

other reasons:
So if the women had her period or had to go pee there would be little room for it to come out, therefore can cause inflammation or infections...

If you do sew it... there is a culture where the male grows his pinky nail just to pierce or cut it open to allow sexual intercourse..


for males... the function would be perfectly the same but people claim if circumcised,,, you are less sensitive...

Well imo, I would say no for female circumcisions, due to the reasons stated in your first post. It causes many discomforts and possibly awkward-ness? for females.

For males, I would say it would be dependent on parents, but I say that being circumcised would be better. Lowered chance of infections, and its more hygenic.

I think it is pure evil to take away some part of the female body that does no harm and can make her happy.
and this is not only that, its involvs crucial pain for her and it won't just stop after a fre month, it'll be a scar on her soul and spiritual pain.

as for male circumcisions, I think it is something every parent should do to his male child when born or, if jewish, when 8 days old. the reson for it to be done when the child is still little is because when he is older he won't remember it and it won't hurt him more than a few days. it also prevents infections and stuff because the skin you remove when you circumcise is a good place for bacteria and fungus and stuff like that to multiply and HURT real bad. I think that if you won't do it to your kid when little , you should at least teach him while he is young how to keep that area clean so there won't be any troubles and maybe a circumcision when he is older when it can leave a mental scar and he'll remember it and turn out a rapist o.o

ehhhhh WHAT? i say no to both i dont why you would in the first place.. plus it sounds very painful... even for a baby. like how you treat a dog by neutering it, d00ds. i wouldnt do it.

Circumcisions at age 8 doesn't sound like the best 'father-son-time-activity-'
