Title: I got recruited...

Mr. Treccia Goes To Washington - October 25, 2005 10:59 PM (GMT)
I went to an exposure camp for pitchers a week ago and I got an email from a D III baseball school called Elmhurst College. Here's the email I got from the coach.

Dan:

I am very interested in you and am impressed with your passion for the game
and willingness to improve. I also like the fact that you're very
interested in us here at Elmhurst College. I'd like to think we have a very
strong program that would be a great option for you. We've had success here
and work at it awfully hard.

First, apply for admission here on line by going onto our website at
www.elmhurst.edu/admissions. Next, look at Fridays, and Mondays in November
with the exception of the 11th. We bring recruits in from 9:30 am until
1:00 pm. Look up your schedule and see what day would work out best for
you. We'd love to have your parents come as well if they're able to. In
addition, after you've applied, please either send over your transcripts, or
bring them with you the day you come.

Thanks for your iterest and we look forward to seeing you again.

Great job this weekend by the way!

I was really happy when I got this. Right now I'm a pretty decent high school SP. I got a fastball that averages about 82 MPH. My best pitch is my 12-6 curve that comes in about 68. Then I have a change up I just choke the hell out of at about 63-64 MPH. I may or may not go here. I probably will have a few other options. But this one is the first. 4 more years of baseball would be amazing, and it'll keep my dream alive. Who knows?
