Nah, his fate is pretty much sealed! I realize Sirrus and Achenar had a second chance but Gehn is old and much more maniacle (is that a word?) than the brothers. Besides, since they've already done an 'escape' once with Revelation I don't think they'd do it again.

I think the Myst 5 villain is either Yeesha or Escher.

Streaming anything is beyond my crapulous dialup. But reading the story, it sort of reads like MystV will be a "move the character around to solve the game" like Syberia, rather than the usual Myst game (says she who has yet to play Myst IV and isn't planning on buying Uru anytime soon)

Actually, Escher is kind of leading you. He (or she, we don't know yet) will be able to give you clues by writing things into a stone block that you carry around with you, even if you're in another age.

They say it will go back to slightly easier puzzles than the other games. I'm kind of glad because some of the Revelation puzzles were absolutely insane!

pre-maid images. Basically a 'snap shot' that is perfected afterwards. If you have something on the ground they pre-render the whole room with and without that object in the room. With Rendered graphics, the game is coded to know whether or not the object is there or not and render it as you move into the room.

I like prerendered graphics better because you can actually spend time on each image to make it look good (e.g. Riven) where as something like RealMyst is generated and not as realistic.
