Yeah, I don't like that! If you'll look it seems like Yeesha is older than she was in Uru which means it could be post-Uru.... which basically means it's a sequel to Uru not Myst bored.gif

I was very disappointed to see there are not live action people in this one! notsowell.gif

It's too late now, the game is pretty much done! (besides, it's Cyan not Ubisoft).

They really can't do live action the way they want to do the game. It's going to be real time 3D. In the other Myst games it was a point and click interface, from node to node, so you can shoot camera angles in relation to those nodes. Since this one is 3D (like Uru) there's really no way to get the camera angles right if you're moving around. It just wouldn't work, so they're doing animated characters....

I would have MUCH rather they kept the node-to-node and live action rather than animated and 3D... annoyed.gif

Well for one thing they already had some ages and the programs from Uru to make another game. Since they had all that it was easy to whip up another game and all they have to worry about is the storyline and stuff.... the technical stuff is already there... kind of a cheap way of going about it if you ask me...

you know,I'd rather wait two or more years for myst 5 to come out so it would look like every other myst game instead of the way it looks now.

It's not just the dreadful animated people, the renders look rushed and simplified. This is the biggest disappointment I've had regarding any of the myst Franchise. It's rushed and badly thought out.

I feel cheated

I don't want Myst to end. I really don't - it's the only reason I have ever upgraded my PC. For every release of Myst I have had to improve something or buy a new PC.

I am not liking the screen shots for Myst 5 though - it is way below par. It looks like a cheap childrens adventure game.

I agree, Myst should continue. I'm hoping they just have Rand doing Atrus as usual. If there's someone else in there, ooh, Cyan won't hear the end of it.

Plus, after Myst V, what will Cyan do? Disband?

That's a Bahro from Uru... but apparently that isn't exactly what it'll look like according to RAWA.

1) not cool.... should specify that you can only upload... whatever... instead of vague "file attachment", forcing us dialers to waste 10 minutes to discover we can't do that...

2) well, i hope they make it good... and smaller than revelation... i think it scarred my system....

i read somewhere that if you REALLY wanted to save the game, you have to copy all the data files out of [insert that folder here] and put them back when you wanted to load.....

but you still have to go all the way back through Prime....
