Myst Question, Atrus' Sons

In the original Myst game, at the end when Atrus' sons ask you to complete their books, how could they both get out at once? I mean, if one was trapped in Haven, and the other on Rime, how could completing one book release them both?

it can't, they both say that you can only choose one page and tell you to only bring the page to his book.

Right, but when you give one of them the last page, you get trapped in the book and you see them both laughing at you, right?

Yep, your right, just replayed the whole game. Okay, but here's another question. How come in Exile they made the point that you couldn't close a book you've opened and all that, and when Saavedro goes through the book at the beginning, it gets left behind, but in Uru you do it all the time?

As for the Linking Book stuff, the Uru Relto book is not a regular Linking Book, noted by the pages added to add things to the Age. Regular Linking Books are left behind, and must be written at the spot they link to. The Relto book comes with you when you link, as Yeesha notes at the end of Uru Prime.

How come you can only see the faces of the brothers instead of a huge age?

it's a trap book, not a linking book. They look the same if you glance at them, but if you are one who knows the art, you can look through the writing and find the slight differences
