Title: Autogryo that goes pew pew pew
Description: Autogryos: rl lolcopters?

Looking over what I have so far, I seem to be lacking a STOL aircraft for ground attack. Now, I want something different. So, here's the requirements:
  • Be an Autogyro (hurrrr)
  • Max Speed: No less then 125kph
  • Very low stall speed
  • Armament
    - No less then 4 Hellfires
    - Machine gun or autocannon of a caliber no less then 7.62 NATO
  • STOL
It also needs to have a low fly away cost and short production time.

Requirements seem pretty much like Apache VTDP. That's probably the kind of thing you're looking for. I might be interested in such a helicopter too.

Traditional Autogyro tend to not have a concept of a 'stall speed' in the traditional sense. So long as you're in level flight, you can't really stall out, you just descend very rapidly, but under control.

They can still enter accelerated stalls and such, but as lift is determined by blade rotation, you can't really stall in the traditional sense.

bah, take an auto byro, blow air out the rotor tips (possibly mixing it with fuel and igniting it in the process) and you have the most awesome of VTOLs:

ROTODYNES!!!!

And coincidentially I sell a couple that could fit your needs:

The Starling (most liekly the gunship version):

And the Buzzard:

of course if you don't want the sheer awesome of a rotodyne just take a Groen Brothers Hawk 5 and hang some hellfires off it:

Hm, I might be interested in that rotodyne thing of you too. Seems like a V-22 Osprey like propulsion... without the lulzy complicated controls and mechanical failures...

The rotodynes are really, really good gunships. However it's not really what I'm looking for, this is more a last-line airborne zergrush to push dem to da beeches!

The hawk5 looks like it could be good though, thanks for that link.
