I'm working right now on writing an RP in which my nation in Earth II invades Australia, which is ruled by a stupid, insane dictator who has Mike Sparks in charge of his military.

I'm trying to come up with some creatively retarded vehicles, equipment, and doctrine for the poor Australians to be forced to use, including a shit-ton of unlikely M113 "Gavin" variants.

If anyone would like to contribute some ideas, I'm eager to hear them. Here's some of the things I've planned so far:

- M113's all over the place
- Sparky's dubious "drop the Gavins into the water from the back of a C-130" plan
- Semi-air droppable Gavins. As in, they can be dropped out of the plane but take severe damage on landing
- Issuing heavy machine guns in the place of assault rifles
- Mass issued katanas, ballistic knives, nunchuks, and other impractical weapons
- A "Modern Warfare 2" unit armed with riot shields and throwing knives
- A "battle babes" unit of sexy, poorly trained women in lingerie
- A "Gavin battle tower" with two M113s connected side by side with bars supporting something like a prison guard tower
- A Gavin attack boat, with some wildly inaccurate dumb-fired rocket pods slapped on (physics can go fuck itself)
- A flying Gavin, some ungodly abomination of rotors and/or jet engines strapped on
- The Gavin Juggernaut, which is four M113s connected together with a mass of supplemental armor mounted over it to form a giant Gavin, overloaded with weaponry (this is Sparky's boss vehicle)
- A Gavin zeppelin
- A battlemech made from Gavins
- Gavin artillery

a submarine that can deploy flying gavins with VTOL engines, regular gavins from a well deck and a front, clamshell door with a ramp

gavin MBT with ERA and a 105mm gun

put m134 miniguns on all m113s, instead of m2hbs

MiniGavin: A backpack-portable Gavin scale model, with a cutout in the crew compartment, for one trooper to ride on.

Why stop at a 105mm gun? Let's stick some 140mm ETC Gas Assisted Thermodynamic Electrically Enhanced Rocket Suffused Scientifically Supreme Excessively Calculatorical Adjective Inserted Not Compensating For Nothing High Velocity Projectile Launching Apparatus on there.

155mm ET-light gas gun that shoots hypervelocity ATGMs with laser aerospikes

Gavinblimp: a Gavin with an inflatable hot air balloon it can use for tactical air transport across the battlefield

Decoy Gavins made of plastic or plywood and mounted over/on top of the frame of a Humvee. And like the old tin toy friction tanks, be sure to have sparks come flying out the end of the weapons.

Laser-gavs with triple M61 20mm cannons and a pair of 'six pack' 5.56mm microguns. And a THEL on the rear-deck.

Towed behind it would be gutted gavins used purely for ammo-storage.

Oh, and ONTOS recoilles nuclear gun-mortars with rocket-assisted propulsion to get unstuck from soft sand.

Everything too small for an M113 gets loaded onto a Vespa.
Everything too big for a standard M113 gets loaded onto an even bigger custom-made M113 with bike-racks.

'Super-grenades'.
Improvised sticky-foam explosives from obsolete flamethrower apparatuses as grenades, minus detonators.

All pistols be in .50 AE and loaded with explosive-bullets to equal the devestation of a Frag-12. Since a deagle is lighter than an M3 in Counter-Strike.

Smart-Bombs that home-in on the dumb-bomb in front of it

.22 LR uber minigun to replace all shotguns.

Horten flying wings, for CAS, with tracked landing-gears.

Pedal powered Gavin for mountain bike infantry.

Tacti-Gavin, with full radar/IR stealth, an underbarrel grenade launcher for the MG, a superduper muffler to make it quiet, and black paint. Because black is stealthy.
