Someone called the cops and reported that I was creeping on children at a park I haven't been to in over a year - I wasn't even around children at all today. I ended up getting interrogated by two cops with a very guilty until proven innocent attitude while they held my bus up. Ended up giving them my ID, address, and phone number.

Here's the kicker:
1) The description they had of me was apparently accurate enough for them to think it was me. Hell, they were driving around trying to find me. Meaning someone saw me, and reported me, while I was on campus or in the area. I have a idea of who might have done this, but no hard evidence.

2) If they contact me again, am I going to need a lawyer? Should I be looking one up now?

REALLY not keen on some fuckhead accusing me of being a pedo in some bullshit revenge attempt. Hopefully this was some crazy fucking coincidence, but I dunno... :s

Better start cutting off contact from Lee. Get police reports on him before he does the opposite.

Already cut contact with the guy awhile ago. Not much point in doing a police report given that I haven't seen him in a month.

Also, you should be asking your questions to your therapist. They might have like, resources to cope with this crap.

And maybe find a lawyer who would offer free legal advice.

Besides, you haven't molested a child so no major worries. The cops themselves think they are just warning you for bad behaviour.

EDIT: you should be very concerned if you are charged with a crime like disorderly conduct, or disturbing the peace, or something. although those are misdemeanors, they aren't good
