Lists are incredibly useful when outlining formations for the strategy section as they let people (me) perfectly describe how formations are nested. But the current limit of 2 nested tags (without letters or numbers) makes it incredibly frustrating to do so.
Considering that the current limit seems completely arbitrary I have to ask is there a way to remove the maximum limit on nested list tags? What do you people think? -------------------- Official Representative of the Windir Design Bureau of the Purpelian Government.
The three glorious steps of our design process: Step 1 - The Great Leader draws a picture of what he wants and gives it to the designers with the words: "Make a good X out of this." Step 2 - The designers than go and do their best to make something that works and still looks mostly like what the Great Leader drew. Step 3 - Once finished with that, throw it away and make something that actually works. Always remember: The law is not law because it is just. The law is just because it is the law. It only gets worse the more you go.
I am asking becouse no other VB forum I know has these limits. So I figured it was some option the admin ticked at one time or another. -------------------- Official Representative of the Windir Design Bureau of the Purpelian Government.

Will you please cut that out? If you have a reasonable objection I don't mind you saying it. But you obviously have no idea what you are talking about here. Having actually been an administrator in several InvisionFree forums in the past I can tell you that unlike what you believe the forum software and layout are not only issued and used as is. You would be shocked at just how many things the Admin CP lets you do. I have ran forums with layouts and setups that you would not believe are InvisionFree based. That is why I was asking in the first place. I know for sure (well, reasonably certain anyway, it has been a while) that there is some option for this somewhere in the Admin CP. Or at least there used to be one long ago. -------------------- Official Representative of the Windir Design Bureau of the Purpelian Government.

Meh, I don't really mind it... You can always make your lists like Senna did over here.

Oh that? I did not even notice that one. Its just a brain bug. I am used to calling all pre made forums VB by default regardless of where they are hosted. Its a draw back from the old days when I first joined the net. You really should be more clear when you desire to point a small mistake like that out. As in, maybe an explanation. It would help avoid quite a many situation like this one. -------------------- Official Representative of the Windir Design Bureau of the Purpelian Government.

I think that is the default solution everyone has generally settled on. But I see nothing wrong with his request if its a simple matter of checking a box...which if the option is there- that is how simple it is. |

Oh god dam it. *sigh* Plan B it is than. Ill just write a CPP program to convert lists to spacing notation and back again. Even that is better than having to use letters and numbers in my lists... -------------------- Official Representative of the Windir Design Bureau of the Purpelian Government.

Indeed. It is in no way original. We did it even on Sarz' board, methinks. -------------------- Driven by a crisis of identity, Mewtwo agonizes over his status as a clone, melodramatically wondering aloud, “Am I only a copy!?” And then goes on to declare a war upon humanity, striving to pave the way for a New World Order of pokémon clones. This, of course, doesn’t happen. But the set of relationships that this storyline enumerates can be read as a rather sophisticated allegory for contemporary geopolitics.
