In a press statement released earlier today by the Morridane Ministry of Defence, the Royal Morridane Air Force is looking to overhaul its fleet of Hawker Hunter fighters.

The sixty year old aircraft has remained in frontline service with the RMAF long after it was retired by other air forces and forms the backbone of RMAF Fighter Command. With their last major overhauls having taken place in the early 1990s, the Hunters have been carefully and dutifully maintained by ground crews and remains very much a workhouse for the RMAF.

Whilst Morrdh's own Commonwealth Aircraft Corporation has been awarded the contract for overhauling the actual airframes, it is understood that the MoD is looking at foreign contractors to implement upgrades for the aircraft. Its believed that the programme will lead to similar projects to overhaul the RMAF's Avro Vulcan and Tupolev Tu-95 Kodiak bomber fleets, a profitable prospect for a successful bidder.
