General Rules-

1. The use of profanity is allowed, as long as it is not used to put down another member of this board.
2. In regards to debates revolving around political issues punishment for trolling and flaming will be doubly as harsh, given that these threads tend to be breeding grounds for trolls and flamers.
3. Do not leave sarcastic remarks that are in any way insulting towards another member, anywhere on this board.
4. Every piece of work on this forum is considered to be copyrighted. Plagiarism is not allowed; this includes write-ups and stat blocks.
5. In respect of Invisionfree's Terms of Service, no pornography is allowed on this board.
6. Spam is not welcomed on the NS Draftroom.
7. This board is inherently made to critique designs that are posted here. If you are not ready to hear criticism, do not post. This rule is relevant to flaming and trolling (which will inevitably happen if you dislike the criticism presented).
8. Do not insult other members of this board, or NationStates, or anybody in particular.
9. Trolling with an image of the Belgrano gets you two warnings.

10. Do not intentionally seek to make other folks miserable simply for the sake of your own amusement.

Punishment-

Punishment is simple. On most occasions you will receive a warning - there is no such thing as an official warning, or as an unofficial warning; just a warning. On your third warning there are two things that can happen to you, depending on the gravity of the three infringements of the rules: suspension or banishment. For plagiarism you will receive a warning the first time, and if there is a second time you will be immediately banned.

All warnings, suspensions and banishments can be argued in the Court Room. That's why it's there. You can argue unfair rulings. However, if you broke the rules and you know it, do not count on a reversal.

Warnings-
Warnings will be reduced by 1x every month for good behavior.

New Rules-

New rules may always be added. However, this forum follows a policy that states if the rule is broken before the rule is in place then it's not punishable. However, all members are responsible for keeping up with he rules. Fortunately, each new rule will come with a bump of this topic.

One question- if you're banished from the board, how would you appeal your case?

That's OK as long as you don't claim them to be your own. Of course, in some cases it's copyright issue, but not ours. It's best to state the source explicitly.

Plagiarism is related to copying others' designs, full or in part, unless you have explicit permission. Including others' pictures and text.

thanks i never claim anything is my own anyway. i have this little problem of designing something only to find its been done already. as far as i know all my pics are public domain, or have the artists signature anyway. some of my work is done through editing the design but mostly thats form stuff.its my science arguments that are usually my own (i think). thanks again, this site is kool. lets see how much i can add to it

Well, Mac started this forum. [Though there was now almost abandoned old Draftroom]. Currently he's in the spec ops boot camp.

In compliance with this constitutional position, the design approval rules will only be enforced on new designs. That means if you already have your design reviewed and in the Mall or elsewhere, you can continue to sell it.

New designs will require two approvals before they can go on sale, see the rules here.

Sounds like an April's fools joke to me, so I'll wait until tomorrow to see if there's any hint of realism in this...
