"By changing the wings and adding 8 special engines we have created this Supersonic airplane. This is the fastest airliner ever built."

Shweet.

Best part though is the customer testimonial
"From what I have heard, your best is the best in the world."

Fecking amazing, no change in anything but the picture...and We slapped some more engines on it.

The FAIL is strong with this one.

The A330(Mach 2.5) can out run a Mig21, Electric Lightning, Mirage III, Su-11, F-104 Starfighter, Viggen, Mig29, Tornado, F-14D, and F-18 just name a few.

The F-15, Foxbat and Foxhound can catch it.

That is just ridiculous. There are fourth generation interceptors this thing(airliner) can out run--well it cant really but you see my point.

It's basicly a copy of RL.

Also The scanners used in aircraft do not show as much detail as close range man portable FLIR w/ false color and all those fancy things that you are thinking of.

I can just imagine that AAR:

"Between the hours of 0900-0930 armored units under my command sighted and engaged what appeared to be multiple enemy armored vehicles. Upon engagement with standard 130mm STAFF missile systems, the targets appeared to disintegrate. Post-action investigation revealed several bits and pools of what appear to be plastic; samples have been dispatched to our field forensics unit and are awaiting confirmation."

More like:

"At 0900 we came into contact with what appeared to be enemy tanks. Upon ordering my gunners to engage I observed through the CITV that they were mere decoys due to their heat signature and canceled the previous order. Our unit proceeded through the decoy field and engaged an enemy armoured formation from the flank unobserved."

For fun.

QUOTE (him)
"I don't need to. The A-10 (1977) doesn't even have its own FLIR. The number of NS nations using stock A-10s is significant, and the number of NS aircraft using maverick missiles(1972) without a separate FLIR is even greater. This works against those. Ever see gun camera footage from an AC-130U (1990) or a Predator(1995) drone? These decoys are enough to fool those cameras too, and that's all that counts."

And my response.
QUOTE (me)
And the number of NS nations using more modern, NS-designed equipment is even more staggering.

As to your video first, notice how you can easily distinguish minor terrain features and details? The Lantrin is a generation old right now, and two generations behind the stuff about to come our, and you can still see detail. Your decoys will show up as blobs, not detailed tanks. There is no way in physics you can distribute the heat from a "heat generator" to accurately mimic the tank you want to represent. And again, remember, the LANTRIN is obsolete, and has since been replaced by the likes of the Sniper XR, yet more advanced. And the Sniper XR is only a 3rd generation system, which is technologically a generation old.

I've seen gun camera footage from 15+ year old weapons systems. I've also personally looked through modern 4th generation FLIR systems, and watched as the operator "visually undressed" an unsuspecting woman twenty kilometers away, as if I was watching a black and white porno. That's the kind of detail you can see, if a woman is wearing an underwire bra or not, you can see the wire.

And then, and this is the best part, add in other systems like MMW radar, spectral imaging, and high-capability TV, and your decoy becomes completely useless.

Again, find a source of these things being even remotely useful against a modern army, hell, find a source that says the 20 year old decoys you base them off of fooled even US forces at the time.

It's a useless endeavor, and will simply be spotted and ignored by any competent military with equipment made after 1979.

Edit: And Jonified America has decided to ignore me for "techwank", because I am using current-gen RL tech to prove him wrong.

I would like to nominate him for idiot of the week.
