Tilitchang Air Force Base: A brief outline of Imperial Defenses:

After the handover of Tilitchang Airport to Allanea, it is now scheduled to become the key element of Greater Prussian involvement on the area. The field itself is now a large, complex military base, where East Arcadian troops arrive either to train or to be shipped to other parts of the Empire, where their training commences. Military equipment, humanitarian and other aid is also shipped in through Tilitchang. This is already enough reason to have the airfield as fortified as the Allaneans can afford.

Senior Lieutenant Dmitry Kingsley had been specifically appointed in command of TAFB despite his junior rank, after providing a detailed plan of engineering defenses for the base, and utilizing an attached battalion of East Arcadian Infantry and a company of Allanean sappers to begin implementing it. After the approval of the plan by the Imperial High Command, Prussian resources had been relocated to assist in constructing the defenses here outlined.

The jungle around TAFB’s main fence (which is, coincidentally, 2.5 meters tall) had been cleared away to a range of 550 meters. Starting 500 meters from the fence, mine warnings are posted and a range of barbed wire is placed. In total, barbed wire had been placed at every 50-meter marking from 500 to 50 meters away from the fence. From the 50 to the 500-meter marking, landmines had been lain.

The first level of mining comprises of PFM-1 mines laid at a density of 0.5 mines per square meter (establishing a 70% chance of an individual being injured for every 20 meters of minefield crossed). The second layer combines a similar density of PFM-1 mines with tripwire-based mines at a density of 0.1 mines per square meter. This repeats itself up to the 5th level of minefield.

At this level, seismic-fusing based NVU-P mines are added to the existing landmine array, which continues up until the final two layers of mining, wherein remote-controlled NVU-Ps, Claymores, and MON-200 series mines are installed. The last gap between the fence and the 50-meter gap is unmined, to allow for counteroffensives.

To avoid vehicle assaults along the road, anti-vehicle mines have been installed on its sides, including, but not limited to, remote-controlled mines.

The entrance of the base is covered by two detachment trenches (one to the left and one to the right of the entrance). Each of these has a shelter to protect the crew during mortar strikes. Set to the the sides of the entrance are two tank trenches containing Nakil 1A3HAL tanks, and two more that contain tank decoys. The tanks and the decoys are switched around twice a day.

At a bare minimum, a company of tanks is in positions near the fence. Backup positions exist, and decoys are shifted around routinely. Further, an MDK-2 trenchdigger is on duty at any given time to build additional defenses. For infantry, two battalions‘ worth of trenches had been dug, reinforced by 20 underground Gorchak-type bunkers (one per battalion) to be staffed jointly with Allaneans and East ARcadians, and observation points to control the remote-controlled mines. They are augmented with 50 “Guardian” defense turrets. Inside the base, a battery of Libertycannon and a battery of mortars have been posted.

Additionally, a platoon-scale trench had been dug to protect the airport headquarters and another one to protect the air traffic control center. Finally speaking, five Ekraysian 35mm Gatling cannon are installed at different points throughout the base. The ATC tower itself is armed with a pair of Maxim guns.

Needs moar 35mm autocannons -- when they're not used as AAA, they can be employed with great effect as anti-ground weaponry.
