It's an annoying feature, because it doesn't work in realtime, so you have already typed the post anyway and all it does is add extra delay. The only place it's useful is "X the nation above you" type spam and word games, where you have to reply to the last post only. You can always make an edit if the last post turns out to be life-changing.
