at this years E3 event, Bandai showed a new Naruto game thats scheduled to launch October 15 of 2008. Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm. The trailer looks pretty sexy graphics wise buts its hard to tell how good cell shaded graphics will turn out in action when you actually play them.

It looks kinda like it would play like Dragon Ball Z Budakai Tenkaichi 3 but once again, its hard to say for sure.

I don't care enough about this game to do research and tell you all about it cuz i don't own the $600 paper-weight this game is exclusive content for but if you own a PS3 and care, please look up more.

this game is the only reason i would ever want to buy a ps3. i just watched a video review of it and it is awesome. the graphics look great, the battles look intense and the special jutsus are epic

I've played the demo on my roommate's PS3. The graphics are very nice, but I much prefer the 2 dimensional fighting from Narutimate 1- Accel2 than this 3d plan. It flows... too well. Doesn't really feel like you're bashing the other guy around, more like just pushing him to the other side of the level.

I liked it pretty well, but I preferred Narutimate Accel 2 by far.

Though I've only played a demo, to be fair.

This game looks fucking gorgeous. I wish I could afford a PS3.

From what I see it looks a bit too much like DBZ budakai tenkaichi (.sp).

I dont really have a problem with the necessity to have 3 life bars, or the great looking 3d environment, and having the partners to back you up adds some interest but what pisses me off is the powering up to regain katra. That at least made sense in DBZ. If anything there should be one chakra bar that is very slowly depleted as you use jutsu, and doesn't re-charge, or just very slowly. Then you have to moderate your use or you'll end up with no power at the end of the battle. That would be more realistic. Maybe kinda annoying, but then it would be a more strategic game.

Yeah, the chakra system is a little different in this one. Whereas in GNT you get chakra when you're hit (which I guess also makes little sense), in this one you can either charge it yourself or you can get it when you do a good combo on someone. I guess charging makes a little sense. I mean, you actually see Naruto do that in the manga. He claps his hands together and gathers chakra before a big move.

meh i guess so. But whenever Naruto does that its cuz he was a noob and had to actually concentrate like that in order to muster enough chakra to do a jutsu(vs kiba) or he does that to draw on the kyuubi's chakra(vs neji).

Yeah, I guess if it reacted how it was supposed to , then you would have matches where both players just ran away while they waited for their chakra to build up.

or they would simply have to rely on taijutsu.
