All I'm gonna say is this: Kalt sure made the right choice when it came time to select a "magical disguise" potion. Sure, he may not be massively powerful like he's used to, but...

Also, may I just add that Janus's last two posts (as Adonis) were absolutely hilarious? Seriously, I couldn't stop laughing for about 5 minutes after the first time I read them. I had my own idea for a name for that wind dragon lightning blast; SUPER ELECTROMAGNETIC VOLTECH CANNON!!! [/sillyness]

Janus, Megan, unless you just want to dive into this giant-spider-battle scenario, I'd recommend that we collaborate to determine a strategy for our characters to take down the big, hairy, eight-legged freak. And if you do want to strategize, I don't know whether you'd want to do it here, or have us PM each other with suggestions.

I'm okay with either just jumping in or coming up with a plan, so it's your call, guys.

I'd go with strategy first, unless Brandon doesn't want to. Likely, Chell is going to get mad during some point in the battle, that I can say right now. And ya'll might not like him when he's angry, so while I'm going to have him stick with what we come up with as much as will accomplish some of our common goal, be prepared to have a contingency plan for yourselves in case he gets a little nutso.

I don't know about you guys, but if I was there (which I'm not... dangit) I would definately use Omni-charged Flash Power Lance Electro Bolt Aerial True Lightning Weapon Battler Fusion Dragon Cannon Attack.

If not that then at least the Super Electromagnetic Voltech Cannon.

Adonis' first thought on seeing the speed of the spider would be that teamwork is necessary--looks like it could easily outpace us individually. So yeah, let's strategize and act it out in character.

Adonis understands Chell and has partnered with him before, so they have some understanding of each other's tactics--though neither knows about the latest developments. Should we voice them or just act on them?

And Kalt's a total unknown in this RP, but I don't know if it's his style to talk or just act. Either way we go about it, Adonis would definitely act in response to the others since he thinks it's necessary here.

Any differences Chell has would likely be brought to the surface soon enough, and since he's not himself, Adonis and Kalt will probably have to learn to team up and work together soon, heh heh heh.

FYI, Kalt is usually a man of few words and many thoughts, and lets his actions do the talking for him.

But while he tends to be a loner, I definetely don't think he'd have a problem with teamwork. In fact, the spider, being a predator, would probably start by going after whichever member of the group it perceived to be the most vulnerable, and while Kalt is the physically strongest member of this group, he's also the slowest on his feet; a fact that the spider might pick up on.

Kalt might be able to slow the huge critter down if he gets the chance to use his Earth Fist spell to grab one of its legs or something.

Oh, and just to clarify, Kalt has no memory of his prior meeting with Adonis or Chell in the DiD thread; his first contact with them was in Lady Liah's chamber, so he knows almost nothing about them other than their names.

Hehe, well I asked Liah to make this thread and then realised I've not really posted in it! I think it's good people are making use of it to plan stuff though.

I just wanted to express how impressed I am with the whole thing. I'll admit to not really following the first semester (I think I'll go back and do so properly though) because I found it a little bit daunting. However, I've really enjoyed semester 2 so far, even if I do keep worrying I'm not really making that much use of 'magic'. Also, everyone's participation so far has been really good, the first thing I do when I come to NC now is to check if anyone has added a post! I'm also completely amazed at the amount of work Liah has been putting into it. It's a massive task for her to not only think up scenarios for each character, but also for her to write reactive posts that take people's actions into account. So, all in all, I just wanted to thank Liah, and everyone who's taking part, for making such a fun roleplay to be involved in! I must admit for me personally, it's very nice to sit back and not worry about DMing at all! SOM FTW!
