Well I've been thinking what could possibly be done here that would be different from what other guilds are doing. It's hard to get a story going for fightings and the Adventure Guild pretty much has the RPG story down for themselves. So I was thinking since we are a fighting guild we need something to do with fighting. The arena idea didn't go very well at all.

So I was thinking it seems a lot of people here play video games but I don't remember how many people have a Wii, 360, or PS3. What I was thinking was we can set up matches here (such as console, game, and time) and then fight out online. Afterwards one of the fighters can come out here and write out a summary of what happened. You could do a easy quick summary or write it out adding story elements or whatever you'd like.

What do you guys think? Is there enough of you out there that have game system and access to online and are willing to try this out?

I can dig it, Mark. Two problems though:

1. The only system I have right now is a Wii. And I honestly have no idea how the Wii online thing works.

2. I have no fighting games whatsoever. Not even SSBB. I'll order it tomorrow, though.

Other than that, it sounds like a stellar idea.

You're absolutely right, Mark. This place has been dead for WAY too long. The whole "VS" thing I came up with worked for a while, but since then... Bleh.

Anyway, yes, I like your idea. And I own a Wii. biggrin.gif

There are only two issues that I see:

1. Coordinating time zones with other players.

2. Whether or not we allow member of other guilds to participate in this (let's face it, there aren't many of us in this thing...).

*completely astonished that DH doesn't own ANY figthing games at all* ohmy.gif

I completely forgot about the time-zone coordination. No point in the idea if we can't even connect.

I had Brawl for a while, LG, but the disc was broken. My bad. Like I said, I'll get a new copy, because I'm getting paid tomorrow. Lucky me.

Also, we should let other guild members join. It'll probably get stale after a while if the Fighting guild is the only one allowed to do it.

BTW, anyone hear from Liah recently? I'm kinda curious as to when she's starting up the 3rd semester of magic.

We will definately let people in other guilds participate. We participate in their guilds all the time it's only fair. Time cordinating is something to be worked on but it can work. Weekends probably are going to be the best time. People in my area of the world would probably be on in the morning where the people at the other side of the world would be on at night time. It can be done cause I have played a few people over there. I've battle Kirsty in Brawl before happy.gif. And Mario Kart with another so it can be done. It also doesn't have be to be just fighting game. Any game that has a vs component can be used. Brawl and MK are probably the more popular but there may be more out there. Also this'll work for others who have the 360 although of course they can't play against others that only have the Wii. (I have both so I'll take on all challenges MWAHAHAHA!).

Other people who read this please respond. All thoughts and ideas are welcome.

I think a gaming tournament style thing would be pretty fun. I'm available on 360 (Mark's already on my friends list, though I haven't had the chance to play with him) and Wii (despite only having Mario Kart right now), which means I can kick all ya'll asses. twisted.gif

I have both a 360 and a Wii and am definitely up for something like this, it's a good idea.

I sold my copy of Brawl but I suppose I can get it again if need be ha.gif

Hmm... this lookes like it may work. Felkatil, Calibur, you two definately need to get brawl back. Four player battles everyone YEAH!!!!

Since people have, had, or are going to get brawl, just to keep this place lively while we wait for more people to respond who is everyone's favorite character in brawl? And if different who is their best guy? I guess also saying who's their worst is also something you can put.

My Best and favorite guys in the game are Link, Ike, and Marth (guys with swords lol). My worst character in the game is Dedede. I hate that guy. Can't control him. Also I hate Diddy only cause it was because of that character that I lost a Brawl tournament V_V

To be honest I don't see myself getting Brawl anytime soon but I might be able to borrow it off a friend

Unfortunately, I don't see myself getting Brawl anytime soon. I don't exactly have a consistent income right now, not to mention that I spent the two hundred something buying my PSP plus games.

Who has Mario Kart? There's kind of a battle element to that? I've played with Mark a few times - but I think we need to get timezones sorted (me and Mark have played before so it's doable).

If we could schedule a set time once a fortnight or month, then it'd give people an idea.

I have a 360 although I don't have a gold subscription. If I knew I could play online with you guys though I would certainly invest.

I also have a wii that works online. Got Brawl, MK, and can get my hands on pretty much any other game if people have recommendations.

DH, the online wii is pretty easy to set up, you have any questions just pm me.

I think this could be a really good idea and give the Fighter's Guild an edge and purpose again. I'm willing to help co-ordinate this too if you guys want, we could plug it in the other guilds too.

I have all three consoles. However, like teh_bawp, I don't have a Gold subscription on 360. (Not that I have many MP games for it anyway.)

Given that my time is so far behind many of you guys, and given that I don't have a lot of time, I don't expect you guys to find the ideal time for everyone. Buuuut...

Could select 2 times and alternate? That way we should catch everyone at least once a month, if not at the same time. It might be cool if someone was nominated to take a kind of commentary of what happens - or maybe even record one as they play haha! At the very least it'd be cool for people to keep a record of stats, wins, losses, moment of the match etc.

I'm not sure which Xbox games are good for multiplayer? Uno? ha.gif

I wonder how many people have a good PC rig? Something like Left 4 Dead co-operative would be awesome and we'd be able to video matches. There's some Zelda mods around for L4D too, so we could even use that!

FPS are the first thought that comes to mind when we say Xbawx 360 multiplayer. So CoD (4, 5 and 6 when it comes out) then there are the Halo games (3 and ODST, but I don't know the multiplayer limits for that), perhaps Resident evil co-op? (Don't know if that is online) You can sue the FEAR games for multiplayer, any racing games.

Online on DS? Pokemon games? There's a competition to that. and some people take it really seriously ;D Also Mario Kart on DS.

With the PS3- My Father recently acquired one, which I doubt I can use, but game suggestions are perhaps similar to the 360 online multiplayer, the only exception I can think of is Little Big Planet (A godly game).

I've become a big fan of FPS, but only really have CoD4 on 360 if anyone is interested ;D

I have COD 4 for the xbox, not a massive FPS player but could be fun with people from here.

Got Mario Kart for the DS, played it online before so that shouldn't be a problem.

I think you've all covered the good Wii and DS online titles. There's not tons that you can do there... and even then, the Wii ones -- okay, Smash Bros. Brawl, at least -- aren't exception at supporting multiplayer. Stupid lack of chat features. Though I now have a small fix for that. Mwahaha........

For 360, there is Halo 3 and ODST, for those who care/have them. I... really don't have much else... X)

For PS3, I do have Little Big Planet, which is fun as heck. smile.gif

Well I don't have COD 4 but I can definately get it. Also put me down for L4D on the 360. A co-op experience for that would be AWESOME!!! (love that game).
Bawp I would be very appreciative if you can set that up. Two nights a month seems to work and we can all let each other know what days and times we can meet. Also other then those times where we all me we can also do a challenge. Anyone can challenge anyone at a game any time and they just meet. Good for some one on one fights. Games for me would be Brawl, MKwii, MKds, Pokemon, Soul Calibur V 360. L4D 360, Orange Box 360, RE5 360, Ghostbusters 360, and Smackdown games on 360. That's all I can think off the top of my head. Will list more when I can remember. Also if anyone wants to challenge at anytime right now I say do it. I will take on all challenges as one of the leaders for the guild. BRING IT ON!!!!!!!

Currently not in possession of my Wii though, a friends broke so I gave them mine, I only really have the 360 and my DS wont' connect to my wireless otherwise I would be there too with Pokemon and PH

GET IT!!! GET IT NOW!!!! LOL. It's really a fun game especially with all human players. Co-Op is good and we can even set up versus matches if we have the people. Going to be playing for awhile right now too if anyone else who has it will be on. Saw Zombieland and in the mood to play now.
