Goodbye, perhaps.

I once thought that people like your landlady were few and far between...until Palin and the rest of the extremist reps came onto the radar. (I'll stop there since I fear making this a political discussion and know how those can go, and say that was a joke and not all rep's are bad.)

Your landlady seems like the kind of person who will see what they want to see and the man, obviously she chose him because he would agree with her, is the same. No matter what you do they will condemn you and find any little thing to get you with. Its a sucky kind of harrassment that I see from my AM here at Krispy Kreme. Not towards me, but at one of my co-workers.

As the getting fired thing...you probably should have gone to the EEOC. My wife did when they canned her and they are investigating. If ever you find yourself in that position again, where you are fired for bogus reason, go to them. It's their job to see that discrimination laws are being followed. It may take a few years, as with us we suspect.

Still hoping things are looking up, and I would heavily suggest not going back to your brother. The mention of squicky things is definitely worth avoiding at all costs.

And the world is not unjust....just the people in it.

My fiance' is actually a Republican, he's just one of those perhaps rare *poor* Republicans. And he's a good man, does the right thing when it comes to people. I have a story about a job he once had where he actually got fired for helping the unfortunate... And, upon at least one very pressing issue in our country, he's as liberal as I am. So, sweeping generalizations are bad.

I'm an Independent, myself - but don't tend to vote "Independent" - it's just what I registered as because I didn't know what to register as - I belong more in the "scrap bin" of American politics... or perhaps in an entirely different country, really. I agree with George Washington that polical parties were a bad idea to begin with.

Lately, I'm thinking that it might be a good idea to just burn the world and start over again.
