Title: Nibble Chew Nibble [any]
Description: You can't catch me!

Antelope - March 5, 2005 10:58 PM (GMT)
Twas a glorious autumn afternoon; golden sunlight streaming across the prairie grass and dappling the hilly terrain. It was turning cooler outside, the leaves changing their pigment and the food growing more scarce. Fortunately for the young antelope, patchs of lush clover still lay buried between the rocky hillsides, providing a tasty morsel while he climbed the mountainous landscape gracefully. Agile and swift limbs hopped from steep rise to steep rise, dainty like a flower. No sign of a predator could be seen so the tawny stag lowered his blackened muzzle to the earth, ripping shoots up casually and nibbling away to his hearts content.

Mmm...couldn't find a tastier meal yet! Stinky wolves, how they can eat more civilized creatures like us is a complete mystery to me! Humphf.

Rabbit - March 5, 2005 11:00 PM (GMT)
A little far rabbit wobbled into the same clearing as the antelope, hardly a threat. White paws stopped as he nibbled at some grass, his thoughts the same as the antelopes. HIS name...? Wilfred.
I love grass! Yum yum yum!Wilfred hopped along, almost directly past the antelope, smiling at the larger animal as if it understood him.
"Smelly antelope!" he called, though he knew he wouldn't understand. (prove me wrong!)

Of course he noticed the white ball of fluff pass through the corner of his eye, glaring as he heard an insult thrown his way. Ripping up the last clump of clover, leaves dangling from his mouth, the young antelope turned quietly. His tiny white tail wiggled as he made a hop, almost landing upon the rabbit. "Stinky antelope, eh? Ya wanna say that to my face Mr. Rabbit?" He lowered his prongs, trying to be as menacing as an antelope could be and huffed in the fellow's face. "The people here, geez."

It was the perfect time for any cunning predator to sneak upon the two, both to caught up in annoying the other. -wink wink-

"My NAME is Wilfred actually!" The rabbit snapped. He looked up at the antelope, gulping. "What's your name, we can be frieeeeeeeeends!" Wilfred smiled sweetly, showing his two large teeth.

Friends? With a rabbit? he thought, his eyes momentarily crossing so he had to shake his head vigorously before returning his vision. Rubbing the side of his head along a slender limb, the antelope, normally known as Tweek, nodded. "Welp, I suppose...er...Wilfred. What does a rabbit do anyways?" he asked, shoving the velvety hairs of his nose down to sniff roughly at the white fluff in front of him. Smells funny...

Rabbit - March 5, 2005 11:23 PM (GMT)
Wilfred sat up. "I waddle about and eat grass, silly!" he said. "I can't find any carrots... and STOP SNIFFING ME!!!" he yelped, bouncing back. "Help! Heeeeelp! Attack by an antelope! heeeeelp!" he bounced around yelling.

Coyote - March 5, 2005 11:26 PM (GMT)
Smirking happily to himself as he watched the two animals fight he licked his lips meancingly, thats right...you two keep talking and distract each other. Growling quietly to himself Tolinka marched forward silently, his brown fur merging perfectly with the long autmun coloured grass, how life was fine to be as sly as a coyote. As he kept his orbs darting between the antelope he couldnt help but snort at these harsh words to each other, snarling angrily at himself he dropped to the floor. They must of heard me...but they cant see me. He grinned to himself now sliding along on his stomach. Aye, this coyote was a clever one.

As he neared the pair he dropped his orbs on the meaty rabbit, an antelope was more than a match for him...but a rabbit was fine. Growling quickly before he leapt through the air he attempted a swift manvoure to catch the white rabbit between his paws, the rabbit shall be mine..... he taunted in his head. As he kept his dark orbs on the ground below him he darted them over to the antelope, hopefully they hadnt made friends he didnt fancy a kick in the side.

Rabbit - March 5, 2005 11:31 PM (GMT)
Wilfred squealed something that sounded like "Ohmygeeacoyotehelpmeplease!!!!" and bounced like a ball right at the coyote, bopping it like a large sock bomb in the snout. Then he bounced in the other direction, easily heard shouting "ohmygee i'm having a heart attack!" he wasn't very fast, though...

Antelope - March 5, 2005 11:35 PM (GMT)
Little Tweek was completely distracted by the screeching rabbit and completely missed all cues to the coyote's entrance. In fact, he'd bent down and was wobbling after the obese rabbit, trying to assure him he wasn't dangerous. "I'm not attacking you! Geez! Stop running like that, you idiot! Rabbit, WILFRED STOP ..... " But Tweek fell silent as a slender coyote paw flicked outwards at his new friend. Now Tweek was still quite young for a stag and meeting dangerous predators scared the pants off him, still. Eyes widening like he was trying to cross highway 88 in the middle of the night, Tweek screamed wildly. "MY GOD! RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!" Spinning in circles, his spindley legs flying in every direction, Tweek forgot to look where he was going. Unfortunately, a branch seemed to wish his demise and he was knocked clear over, his limbs flying through the air wildly. If the coyote managed to escape unharmed, he'd be one lucky guy.

Tweek landed on his head and stomach, still frightened as ever. He scrambled to his feet and and began to hop away will continuing his ranting. "Help! Help! Wild coyote and rabbit! HELP!" But luck wasn't his friend today and he had forgotten about the newly formed prongs atop his head. As he made another quick leap under a nearby tree, he managed to get his horns caught in the branchs and stood, his front legs dangling as he continued screeching.

{Yes, very hard to catch... -_- }

Latona - May 1, 2005 01:24 AM (GMT)
OOC: If its not okay for me to be here, don't be afraid to shoo me out.. XD You guys are amusing, by the way; wonderful job. I almost started laughing. XD

BIC:

Latona trotted steadily along, keeping her body low incase any prey were about. She wished to make up for the lost hunt from before, when she had first met the wolfess' Tarny and Karah. Their hunt had been stale; perhaps this one could make up for it. Suddenly, she picked up the scent of a coyote; she couldn't see him, but his scent was strong. She lowered her head and tail, her entire posture, even, so that her chances of being seen were slim. Perhaps he was hunting; he was a smaller creature than herself, even if he was just as good a fighter at times, and his size was close to her own. Yet, she knew that she was slightly large than most females, any way. She shook her head a little, not wanting to become distracted by her thoughts.

As she crept along, she heard voices, and glimpsed a rabbit and an antelope. Wait-a rabbit and an antelope, together? Talking? This rather puzzled her, though she grinned a little in a bemused fashion. Hearing the screeches of the rabbit, she took off after the antelope, but stopped short. Clearly, he was panic stricken. Right then, she saw him get tangled up, and her clever mind set to work. She kept an ear on the coyote, keeping herself blended with the shadows. If the antelope saw her, he would surely continue yelling and thrashing about; if he didn't, he would most likely quiet and clear his mind of how to get out.. It was best for her to be seen; she could take on a coyote easily, and wasn't afraid to. But perhaps he would take his rabbit, and leave her with the antelope for her pack.

She knew it was hard to take on hooved prey for a wolf's lonesome self, lest it was a sheep or something of the sort. Yet, this was too much to resist; it was practically waiting for her, all caught up like that. She pushed her instinct away; she must be careful. She stepped out of the shadows and into the light, putting herself in direct view of the antelope. She made herself appear menacing, growling and showing her canines after putting her ears back. She made sure she kept one always back though, where she could hear the coyote or anything else nearby, keeping her ear accompanied by her sensative nose. It was then she paused, as her amber-gold eyes took in the scene before her, and her mind took to figuring out a plan.
