(This is to reveal some of Champion and Yuki's history, and their last name. If you wish to watch, do so, or you can join in. Kanea is Champion and Yuki's sister, and I will be switching between accounts. If you want a full story, go to Champion's profile under F.D. pack stats. This is just to unravel their history, so I don't wanna start a war with this! You can join in as you like, just don't go over the top, okay? Have fun! Also, nobody reply until I reply with Champion, then feel free to do as you like! )

What a sullen day, colorful leaves dropping to the ground and scattering about. Bright colors, almost too much for the eyes of the animals residing in the land. Squirrels chattered overhead, gather acorns and nuts for their upcoming winter. It seemed as though all the animals were preparing for winter, except for two wolven that walked silently among the Bad Lands.

The one who lead, a large fae, who was rather thin for her age of one spring, stepped through with almost no care in the world. Her black auds flicked back and forth, hearing the sounds of the chirping animals. Her white maw was revealed into a snarl, a slight growl escaping from her jaws at the noise that was interfering with her search. Her grey body stiffened, her shoulder blades pushing forward as she snapped, "Be silent, you foolish creatures!"

"You know well that you are being just as loud as they, Kanea. No use in silencing them unless you also become silent," a chilling voice from behind her said, and she wheeled around, her sharp yellow optics glaring into his own dull yellow orbs.

"And what would you be telling me of, Cairo? You should be just as silent!" she snapped, turning suddenly on him and putting her crania up high. She held up her tassle like she was the dominant of the two, though her companion was older than herself by three years.

"Need I remind you," Cairo's deep voice said cooly, his ebony body moving to her side and standing tall, though he was larger than her anyhow, "You might want to just search for Champion and Yuki, rather than worry about the noise of the other animals." His words were almost always correct when it came to Kanea, but she snarled at him menacingly.

"Don't even say those names! I will find them! I caught their scents, faded, but true! Champion and Yuki turned on me by running from our pack after their fates, running from our clan name, but I will bring them back! They can't run away from their blood!" she snapped, her voice like liquid poison, her eyes flaming.

Little did Kanea and Cairo know, but Champion and Yuki, the wolven they were searching for, were actually quite close. Champion, large in size, with yellow-gold orbs and an ebony coat, save his stunning white paws. His younger sibling, Yuki, matched Champion's size, with an original dull grey coat and dark purple orbs.

Suddenly, Champion and Yuki's auds pricked, the sounds of voices, and one of a fae that was calling upon their names. "Champion, who is it?" Yuki asked, looking towards his brother curiously.

Champion didn't respond, his yellow-gold orbs scanning the area while his nares flared, trying to pick up the scents. His orbs suddenly widened, and his body froze. "Yuki... do you remember when we talked about not seeing Kanea's body by the pack dens after the event?" he asked, looking towards his younger brother with a look of fear and of confusion.

Yuki screwed up his face with confusion, and then pulled in a deep breath of air, his nares trying to identify the scent that had scared Champion. Spicy and musky, a little like Champion's scent, but not so much. His tassle stopped wagging instantly, as the brothers looked towards eachother. "KANEA!" they shouted, and then burst out in a full-out run, not believing their own nares.

Coming to where Kanea and Cairo were, Champion's heart gave a mightly lurch. Kanea, his younger sister, and his exact match despite gender and color. Yuki's litter sister, older than him by only a few minutes. Champion's optics must have been decieving him too, because here he saw his younger sister, and a brujo that was of a deep black color.

"K-Kanea?" Yuki stammered, not believing what he saw. The fae turned to them, and smiled with evil glee.

"My brothers... Yuki... Champion... you seem surprised to see me. Have you forgotten your own sister?" she said, walking up to Yuki and Champion, using her tassle to flick them both under the maw. "You've both grown, Yuki the most, however. Why aren't you celebrating? After all, I, Kanea Nightsky, have finally found you after a year of searching."

Champion was stunned, he couldn't believe this was happening. His mind reeled back to the day, when the hunter killed his family, when he thought that all of his blood was killed save Yuki. He shook his crania violently, and his eyes turned fierce with confused anger.

"You'd best save any outburst you might have, black," a deep voice called, and when Champion looked up, he remembered the ebony brujo, "Kanea and I were merely companions, and both with a goal, another one besides finding her own blood." His voice was egging them on, teasing them, wishing them to start up. "I am Cairo, and we have come to reveal the truth, about you and your name."

(Okay, go ahead if you like! I know, this is kind of stinky, but hey, I needed to get around to it sometime!)

A small fae quietly followed her mate and Yuki, not wanting him to see her. She didn't know why she was following her them so, but knew that it must be important because they had Tsuriai stay in another den. And they had told her to stay too, but did they think she would? Never. So here she went, following them blindly. But to where? Her nares flared, filling them with scents until one made her stop. Of course, there was Champion's and Yuki's, but one was so familar, but not. Raia trotted closer, she spotted Champion and Yuki talking to two strange wolven, one that looked somewhat like Champion and Yuki. She eyed them up, and slowly walked towards them, coming to a stand beside her mate and her son. With a protective glint in her eye, she said "Lo. Champion, Yuki - who are they?" She edged closer to her mate, and kepted one eye upon the others. Her auds flicked back and forth, and the wind picked up, rustling her fur. While she didn't want to appear harsh and mean to them, she didn't really know what to think of them.

"Raia!!!" Champion barked, seeing his mate, his orbs growing at an incredible rate from all these surprises. "I told you to stay....!" he started, but then stopped, knowing that his sister was still here, along with this other brujo, Cairo.

He calmed down and turned to his sister, "This, Raia, is my younger sister, Kanea, who I presummed dead like the rest of my family, save Yuki." This was harder than he expected, it was horrible to think that he had just forgotten his own sister like that. "Kanea, this is Raia," he said, wondering whether or not he could trust his own sister anymore.

Yuki must have been wondering what Champion was doing, since he cocked an eyebrow at his older brother when he didn't release Raia's title of his mate. 'What are you doing, brother? What is the matter?' he pondered, but then realize what was troubling Champion. Kanea was acting... odd... and she had a brujo tagging along with her.

'What does Cairo mean another goal? Why do he and Kanea look so evilly at Champion? What is going on?' Yuki continued to think, not exactly sure even though he was aware of his sister's antics. Yuki's brows lowered, and he looked sympathetically at his brother, and at Raia.

"Kanea." Champion growled, not exactly pleased to see his sister at this moment in time, and to see her changed so much, "Why exactly are you here? Why have you persisted on following us?Why are you sporting that poison name around like an award?!" He was angry, the name, of which his father had gone against, and so had he.

Yuki looked on, confused, not understanding what was happening. Why was his brother getting so worked up over a name? What did the name Kanea say, Nightsky, mean exactly? Was it something that Champion had tried to hide from him? "Champion..." Yuki started, coming up tall beside his older brother, "What does Nightsky mean?"

Kanea smirked, not at all surprised by Champion's reaction, but more enjoying it. "You seemed trouble, big brother. Why does Raia stand so close to you, Champion?" She was having fun irking him, but that was just the beginning. She had suffered more than he ever had, and she would let him know. He had probably become close with this fae, Raia, but whether or not they had produced offspring together was beyond her knowledge for the present time.

"Why Champion, why have I come here? Why have I searched for you? Can't you see that I just wanted to be reunited with my blood, with kin that I knew had survived, even if they didn't know I did?" she chidded, provoking Champion's anger, since she knew once she had it in her grasp, he wouldn't let go of it for a while. She knew her brother, better than anyone ever had.

At last, the final stroke that was insuring her success; Yuki did not know of the Nightsky clan. So Champion had been keeping it a secret, he had kept it away from his blood. Probably from Raia as well. "Yuki, my dear little brother, though you have grown in size, and look remarkably like father, you still do not know of our name, do you?" she continued, her tone becoming more poisonous as she turned to her ebony brother, "Why haven't you told them, Champion? Told them of our fate, just like the rest of our clan?"

She heard her brother growl softly, and she knew she was cutting deeper. It was now Cairo's turn to speak, and he knew it for himself. "Champion, I take it that is your curse. I will have to say that you, of all wolven that Kanea has told me about, should be more truthful with your siblings. Doesn't the she-wolf and Yuki know of your name? You're destiny to the clan?"

"Face it brother!" Kanea snapped, not caring whether or not she interupted Cairo, "You are a part of the Nightsky clan! You're blood is full of ruthless killers, and you know it! Father was a weak fool to rebel against it, but it is not something to fight! It is you, and all of your being!"

She paused now, waiting for a reaction. She wanted one from Champion, who she knew would be hurt tremendously by now, and Raia and her younger brother Yuki. "Face it Champion. When killing flows through your veins, you can't run away from it, no matter how hard you try."

(Eep! I got a bit nasty there, sorry!)

Raia listened silently to fae - neither offering anger nor fear, but when she began to call Champion a ruthless killer, her hackles rose and haterd and anger flared in her eyes. How dare she? And that brute with her - if they tried to lay one paw on Champion, or Yuki, or Tsuriai, she would make them PAY! With her fury clearly showing, she stepped forward slightly and said in an icy voice "He doesn't have to tell me everything. I trust him with my life - and if you were his sister, no wonder why he ran away." Raia was trying to jab her deeper, to pay for the pain she was causing Champion and Yuki. Her tassel rose, and her body angled in such a way that if they were to attack Champion or her, they would hit her first. They had struck a spot deep within Raia, one that was not to be messed around with - her protective one. As she turned to Cairo, she started at him and said "And you - my name is not she-wolf - its Raia. Please use it next time, brute." Little did they know, that a seven month old pup was hurridly following their trails, trying to trace them and follow them....

"Raia," Champion said, using his side to push her back from Kanea and Cairo. "Listen to me, you mustn't give Kanea anything that she can use, I don't want you to get hurt," he whispered, his auds flicking back and forth. He licked her maw gently, saying, "I'll be fine, you run back to the den, protect our boy."

He turned away from his mate, bold determination showing in his eyes. Though he wasn't an alpha, he pulled himself up high and stepped in front of Raia, facing Cairo and his sister squarely. "I will never surrender to the Nightsky ways, little sister! I have banished their ways from me, and the blood will never flow within any offspring of a Nightsky again!" he bellowed, showing his fury, his rage.

"And I will stand by him!" Yuki yelled, standing next to Champion. Their heights were equal when standing straight, but Yuki was hunkered down, his lips curled to reveal and evil snarl.

"Though you may be my big sister, I will never leave Champion's side! You've changed Kanea, and what I said blindly few months ago I stand by now; You're a rebel, and will always be one until you can find something in yourself!" His words were powerful, and struck Kanea with a smarting pain.

'A rebel, a nice title, I must admit. But I won't stray that far,' she thought, smirking evilly. "Yuki, I must admit you are quite a change from a year ago. I am amazed at how much your personality has changed. Quite amazing, if I do say so myself, but you have mistaken me already. I will not become a rebel quite yet, it is a possibility, but I will not stray from you and Champion. Champion is, after all," she paused, her orbs flicking to Champion's, "my personality reflection."

"If I can intervine, Kanea," Cairo's chilling voice interupted, as he stepped closer to Champion, Yuki and Raia. "Raia, forgive my insult to you by not using your name, but..." he let the sentance slip away, as he quickly brushed the tip of his tassle underneath her maw. He pulled away and nodded to his companion.

"Just remember, my brothers," Kanea started again, "the blood runs in all of us, and you'd best to remember that." She turned her body away from them, walking closer to the woods that exited the Bad Lands. "Cairo! Let's go. I will be back for you later, my brothers!" She stood still for a moment, waiting for their reaction.

"Raia, do you wish to know, of Nightsky?" Champion asked in a whisper, waiting for his sister and her follower to leave, and also for Raia's reaction.

(Um... Raia, if you're bringing in Tsuriai, he's only about 7 or 8 months old. Not a whole year yet... I have to go to a meeting, but I might be back later!)

Raia's eyes blazed with fury, but she held it in as she watched the pair leave. That brute made her so mad... She slightly shook, but managed to grit out the words "Just let me at them - but yes Champion, I wish to know more about this....Nightsky thing" and promtly sat down, her tassel curled around her. Being near her mate calmed her, and she felt its affects soothing her.... She feverantly hoped that Tsuriai wouldn't intervine, and get hopelessly caught in the mess as they were. But if they came back... Would she give them a piece of her mind! And if they dared to attack Yuki or Champion... She would personally rip out their throats and watch them suffer - like they were doing to her and Champion.

Tsuriai ran forward, not caring that branchs tore at his fur and paws, just wanting to see his family again. He had gotten lost in the woods that led into the Bad lands, and he was still hopelessly lost in there. He sat down with a sigh, and looked around, at a lost for what to do. Where should he go? What should he do? One tree looked like another to him...

Yuki's ears pricked as he heard crashings through nearby bushes and twigs snapping furiously. "Hold on, Champion!" he yelled, his nares flaring and then his large gray body shot into the woods. It was only another moment, when Yuki came back, pushing a smaller figure ahead of him with his crania. "Tsuriai needs to hear this too, I thought he was going to come since you and Raia left," he explained, resting his weight upon his haunches like Raia did, coming to a halt beside his younger nephew.

Champion's ears flattened to his crania. He hated explaining things, usually he was interrupted and then he never got to finish. "Well... when I was younger, I had asked my father many times what our clan name was, what I could brag about being the head of and taking on as alpha one day. He never answered me, always 'at another time, son'. But one day, I asked, and he took me out to the woods, just he and I. We came across a large clearing, full of little stones that looked strategically placed. I remember his words exactly:

'Our name, Champion, is of the Nightsky clan. The reason I haven't told you is because of our heritage, and the things the Nightsky did to innocent wolven. They slaughtered many, blood was always pouring from their maws, staining their daggers, and it was not their own. It wasn't a good clan to belong to, and their motto: Kill or be killed. That is why I haven't told you, my son, because I have banished the feelings that are to be from the Nightsky clan. I hope you will do the same, as my oldest heir, you have to decide now.'

Champion looked down, embarrassed, and waited silently for Raia's reply.

Kanea smirked, looking over her shoulder at her older brother, now ashamed at telling his family heritage. It was good to see, making him feel even the smallest bit of pain he made her suffer through. "In due time, brother, you'll see which part of you will become the victor, your rebellious side, or your foolish one," she scoffed, and then walked towards the woods, Cairo following behind her. "May we meet again soon, my brothers," her voice called, and she disappeared into the woods.

"Good bye Raia," Cairo called, and then followed Kanea out. They walked forward in silence, not knowing to where they were going to be headed now, probably back to their temporary home with the rebels. Kanea pressed ahead of Cairo, her mood now serious once more, with not even a flicker of glee spreading across her features. Cairo watched her carefully, walking behind her at a slower pace just to avoid problems.

"Kanea," he said, breaking the silence, seeing her auds prick at the sound of his voice, "We could have taken them, right there. You've wanted to for so long, all you do is leave them with an embarrassment of confessing heritage?" He didn't really understand what Kanea was thinking when they just left, without leaving a scratch on any of the other wolves back there. In fact, it was a change he never saw in Kanea before.

Kanea sighed in reply to Cairo, keeping her yellow optics focused forward with a hard intensity, "Sometimes," she started, rolling her eyes with impatience as she continued on her way, "Sometimes it leaves a deeper cut not to be physical, Cairo. Let them be scarred for a bit, then we'll see what happens the next time we come for them."

Cairo stayed silent and sighed silently, 'If there is a next time, Kanea, I could see your eyes soften when you saw Raia and that puppy come in,' he thought, but said nothing as he followed Kanea out of the Bad Lands.

Raia sat silently through it all, and so did Tsuriai. When Champion finished telling his story she got up and silently nuzzled her mate. She could tell that he was ashamed about it, and she was trying to tell him that she didn't care about his backround - just as long as they stayed togethor. "Its okay - you and Yuki are differnent than that..." Raia replied softly. She was trying to comfort him, and to erase the fear and pain that seemed to haunt him. Tsuriai, noticing this, also went to sit near Champion, his small body resting against Champion's. There was little they could do for it was all in Champion's heart and soul, but they could atleast try to. Everything went silent - not a bird called, not a leaf stir. It was like all the surroundings had heard, and were shocked by the news... Raia closed her eyes, and a single word came to her - 'Why?'. Why did the Nightsky clan have to be so? Raia knew that Champion and Yuki were totally different than that....

Champion closed his eyes and nuzzled Raia back briefly. He knew she was trying to comfort him, he knew it with all his heart. He used his mit to pull his son closer to him, and he felt Yuki come up behind and rest his crania on Champion's body. This was hard for Champion, he had tried so hard, done so much, to make sure that the clan name would be forever discarded.

The silence was almost too much to bear. Yuki wished his hardest for anything, anything, to break this cursed silence. His mind was whirling, his thoughts rampaging in his head like a wild tornado. 'Nightsky? What killers? Painful and many slaughters? Kill or be killed?' were his many thoughts, and many more which he could not decifer and which he still did not understand. He tried to push them aside, but he could not, the mechanics of his brain and thoughts whirring like a machine gear. 'Father went against it? What about mother? Kanea? Ledan? What about my siblings? What did they know about it? If they were alive, would they? What is Nightsky, why is Champion so afraid to speak of our heritage?' he added to his thoughts.

Such silence, it wasn't at all what Champion had thought. He thought that Raia would be curious, Tsuriai, Yuki. He thought that they would want to know more of their blood and heritage. What was the silence for?

Raia had a thousand questions running in her mind, but the main one seemed to be 'Why?'. The silence pressed down on them like a heavy blanket that could'nt be moved. She wished Champion would say something, or anyone would just say something. She surprised herself when she finally did - she asked softly "Why?" and gazed up at Champion. She felt safe here, surrounded by her family, and dearly loved ones. Did he feel the same way? She then realized how hard it must have been to admit this, and to face it - it must have been hard for Yuki too. A voice came to her, one that she had heard many moons ago, when she was still a pup. It said 'Acts of courage must not be taken lightly, for it means that they have faced their fears and deafeated it'. But for Champion to come out and face this... It must have been hard, and he had defeated his fear - for her....

Champion continued looking down sheepishly at the ground as Raia asked her question: Why? What did she mean by that? Why was he so embarrassed? Why did the Nightsky clan mean so much terror? How could he put it into words that others could understand? He glanced up quickly at his family, and then back towards the ground. He sighed deeply, and then closed his orbs and smiled towards everyone.

"You see, Raia, Yuki, Tsuriai, the Nightsky clan is just what we are a part of, and we can be like my father, Yuki's father, fought it, and he didn't give into what he didn't believe in," he stated calmly, opening his yellow-gold orbs as he spoke. He felt some power behind his words, though not of a demanding force, just of a calm power that he had. "I'm not giving into it, and you, Tsuriai," he said, lowering down to look his son into the orbs, "I hope you don't either, you and Yuki both. I know that your mother won't," he finished, looking up towards Raia and winking.
