Where Is Belle?, Adoption of Belle

[Yuki/Champion]

The leaves were of full height of exploding colors, reds, golds, yellows and some already a crunchy brown, were scattered all over the ground. If any patches of ground could be seen among the leafy mess, it was already grass that was brown and brittle, a sign of a fast approaching winter. The trees were leaf-less, seeing their cover spread all over the ground, and the skies were starting to become filled with more and more clouds every day that passed.

Squirrels squeaked and chattered noisily overhead, preparing for the winter cold and finding what few acorns could be found before the snow set in. The birds had been long gone by now, but crows sometimes could be seen soaring high in the sky, searching also for last-minute food.

The most noise that could be heard however, was a crashing of mits that echoed throughout the lands of the Pine Wood. This eruption of sound was caused by none other than two brujos that were running through, one behind the other, searching for something at a quick pace. The one in the lead, the leanest of the two but of the same height as the other, was dull gray in coat color. His wolven frame was large but lean, his pillars long and striding huge leaps at quick speeds. His dark purple optics scanned every tree, bush and everything they came across as the two ran.

The one that followed behind, a great deal more muscled and bulky than the wolf in front of him, was a rich ebony, besides his stunning white paws. His body height was just as large as the brujo that ran in front of him, but his mits were of a larger size along with most of his body. His own pillars took great strides also to keep up with his younger brother, who was sprinting through the forest. His yellow-gold orbs were focused on his brother's gray body, wondering where he could be leading him. "Yuki! Where in the world are we going?! What are we looking for?!" he shouted, trying to reach his younger brother while they ran.

Yuki's salmon tongue rolled out of his mouth, and then he replied quickly, "Before we left, I was playing with a small fae pup named Belle, the one we met. I don't know what happened to her, and I have to find out. She didn't have a family, and I don't know where she is!" His facial expression was of worry and fear, but his optics kept searching not missing a thing. "Belle!" he yelled loudly, to overcome the sound of his crashing mits, "Belle! Answer me! Where are you!"

[Xavier and Belle]

Small fatale of messy mahogany fur carefully crept along the worn path, her green eyes wide, long lashes framing the clear optics. She inclined 'er cranium, the wind blowing against her skinny frame, yet a wide grin was set wide across her maw. She bitterly cold wind was pretty new to her, the way the florescent leaves crunched under her mitts, and the sounds of cittering squirrls getting ready for winter.

She carefully made her trek towards the neutral areas, knowing that she hat not yet explored the lands. Every step brought her closer the the forest, the large trees towering over her diminutive form, warning her of the dangers, yet providing a shelter against the harsh northern gales.

Belle stopped a moment, a few minutres into the boreal forest. The wind carried a new sound. It's tone was beseeching, yet worrisome. 'Belle...' Her name seemed to be whispered by the wind... Yet the tone was so familliar. Yuki? She murmered, remebering the slightly older brute.
Here I am! She called out hesitantly, unsure of what else to do. She was a little jog away from then, but in the unfamilliar lands, she knew not where to turn.

[Yuki/Champion]

Yuki screeched to a halt immediately as he heard someone say his name, thought very softly. Champion almost crashed into his younger brother from such an abrupt halt. Champion shot a scolding look towards his younger brother, partially out of anger, and mostly confusion. "Yuki, what is the matter with you?!" he snapped, watching Yuki's still form, his ears pricked. Champion pricked his own ears, trying to hear what Yuki was hearing.

"Belle..." Yuki whispered, and then yelled, "Belle! Stay right there, I'm coming!" and with that, his large and lean gray form shot into the bushes, with Champion looking with confusion at his brother's running form.

"Yuki!!!" he shouted, and then darted after him, again following Yuki as they had just done before, but this time, he'd be ready for an abrupt halt.

Yuki jumped in through the bushes, and came across Belle's smaller figure. "Belle! You're here!!! Where've you been?! Do you have any idea how worried I was about you?!" he said, scrubbing the top of her crania with his mit. "I need you to meet my brother, Champion," he said, and then yelled, "Champion, c'mere! You have to meet Belle!!!"

Champion's large form then stepped beside Yuki, through the bushes, and smiled gently towards Belle."Hello, Belle. A pleasure to meet you," he said, and bowed slightly towards Belle.

(Done! Yeah, I know, it creeps up on ya! I mean, when Yuki was a pup, I forgot how quickly they aged!!!)

[Xavier and Belle]

Belle smilled, her head being pushed down by the older brujo's mit. A lopsided grin was painted onto her face, her green eyes glinting happilly.
Whats wrong Yuki? I've been where I always am, around the Frozen Dreams lands. She paused for a moment, before continuing.
I'm sorry if I scared you... She looked up, eyes wide and apollogetic.

She inclined her cranium, looking at the new mascu that had approached.
Hullo, Champion. She adressed the brute who had recently greeted her. Her small, cord like banner brushed back and fourth, eyes bright with excitment.
So... So, how come you were lookin' for me? Belle inquired, banner still waving.

[Yuki/Champion]

Yuki grinned, and then scrubbed her crania once more. "Well, I didn't know anymore, seeing that Frozen Dreams had been gone for so long, I didn't know where you went, you don't have a fam---" he rambled, but caught himself, just a bit too late. He looked down towards the ground, ashamed. He knew better than to just ramble on like that, particularly about a pup without parents.

Too bad that Champion's auds were sharp that day, and he could pick up what Yuki had stopped saying. 'Doesn't have a...' he thought, looking towards Belle, sympathy in his eyes, '...family?' He had also once known what that feeling was like, but only partially, because he still had Yuki by his side. And now that Kanea had shown herself, it meant that he did still have family. But what about this little one, Belle? Was she like himself, that had a brother, or a sister, or any close relation she knew of that was still alive?

Yuki looked towards his brother, Champion's brow furrowed in thought, and knew that he said a bit too much. His bushy tassle began to wave furiously, and he smiled warmly towards Belle. "I wanted to find you to make sure you were all right, and to make sure that somebody found you so that---" he said, and then gritted his teeth. Again! He had done it again! Had he no self control?! What was he doing, trying to hurt this pup more?! He flattened his auds so they pressed against his crania, and he looked apologetic towards Belle.

[Raia]

Raia padded along contently after her mate, in no hurry to miss the scenery. The red and golds scattered around her, and her dark orbs took in every movement. She had scented Yuki and Champion a few yards back, but a new scent joined them - a pup? She inhaled again she she trotted towards them, trying to remember the name that went along with the scent - Belle. Thats who it was - she briefly remembered her, a small pup that lived in Frozen Dreams at a point. But what had befallen the tiny fae? She found them quickly, and called out "[Belle! I've missed you for so long - whats new?] and grinned. The small fae had grown thinner, and her pelt hung loosely upon her frame - was she eating well? How was she holding up? Questions ran through her mind, and her orbs questioned Belle as Raia took a seat near Champion, her tassel flickering.

[Xavier and Belle]

Belle grinned, watching Yuki struggle. It was kind of funny, how it happened, but she didn't mind.
No, I don't have a family. She started, a tired smile slipped across her maw. I've never had one. I'm used to it, I guess... I never really had anyone... a lump formed in her thoaght, remembering her brother. She loved him, no matter what he did to her. Why? He was all that she had. She had none else, now that he was gone. But she was used to it. Three months alone wasn't too bad, compared to death.

Her banner dipped, a droopy sigh. She continued to watch both brutes, who were clearing doing some seriouse thinking. Poor pup. She was oblivious to it all. The fatal continued to watch, waiting for Yuki to speak again, as it was clearing him how was going to do most of the talking for a while.
As he spoke, Belle was clearly taken back by his statment. "I wanted to find you to make sure you were all right, and to make sure that somebody found you so that---" The words played over in her head. ... To make sure that somebody found you...

N-no... She stammered, unsure of what else to say. Her handicap was hers to forget. The femme had no one, really, and preferred not to dwel on it, to evade it in every waking moment. She shook her head, bright green eyes downcast, before looking up once more. Belle inclined her head, looking up to see yet another wolf come trampling through the forest, lagging somewhat behinde Champion.

She reconized not the fae, only to know it was Champion's mate, from the sent.
Hullo. She started uncertainly, still trying to recall who she was. As she tried to bring her name to mind, she completly forgot about answering the question. Never in her life had she been surrounded by so many friendly wolves.
Why are you all here? Her voice was innocent, yet demanding. No true politness or grace put into it. She knew very little of those things, and had not much care for them, living as a hermit most of the time.

[Yuki/Champion]

I've never really had a home... never had a home The words of Belle's pierced Champion deeply. Though his own brother didn't know it, he also felt completely lost when they lost their family, almost two years ago. In fact, if it hadn't been for Frozen Dreams and meeting Raia, he wouldn't have known what else to do. He blinked a few times, pain clearly evident on his face.

He knew that his mate sat beside him, and he looked towards her quickly, mouthing, 'Would it be okay?' so that Belle wouldn't see. He didn't mind if Yuki did, that was for sure, but not Belle yet. He didn't wait for Raia's answer, but opened his maw to speak to Belle, but Yuki interupted.

"Sorry Belle," Yuki apologized, licking Belle on the crania. He came beside her and rested his weight upon his grey haunches, looking towards Belle with sympathy in his eyes. He really had already made a mess of things, not like he never did anyways. When Champion saw Yuki acting like this towards Belle, like Yuki usually only did with Tsuriai, he smirked. Now was the time, to be daring, and to make a change for the family.

"Like Yuki said, to find you and make sure you were fine," he said cooly, winking to Raia and then lowering down to Belle's height. "Belle, if you don't have a family, I would like to offer one. We aren't the most normal, and we don't know where we would be for now, but would you like to become a part of the Nightsky family?"

Yuki flinched as he heard this offer, and more so when he heard Champion actually speak of their last name. It only showed that Champion was getting better with coping with their dishonorable heritage. His face brighted, and he looked towards Belle quickly, and then Raia, begging her with his orbs.

[Raia]

Raia instantly caught onto things, and smiled gently. "Your welcome within the Nightsky family anytime, Belle" and looked towards her. She wouldn't mind adopting her, in fact she would love to have her. Just another addition to the family - and when pups came about... Well, they would just have to deal with it when it came - for now, she had to deal with Belle. 'Alone? How can she survive, being all alone like that?' thought Raia slowly. She returned Champion's glance with one of her own, then looked at Yuki. She smiled when she saw how he was acting - just like when he talked to Tsuriai.... Where was he by the way? Raia didn't think that he would truly mind someone his age being in the family... Maybe now she would have someone else to look after, so matter how much it took. She waited for Belle's answer.....

[Xavier and Belle]

Belle scrunched up her nose, head being tousled by Yuki. She looked around, the older wolves seemingly sympathizing with her emptyness. Her mahogany banner waved casually. It was evident that she kind of liked the attention that for so long she was deprived from. Champion quickl spoke up, after a moments pause. Time seemed to slow down, maw moving, but no words coming out. Suddenly, it hit her, like the rolling wave of the ocean, bitter yet sweet; Like the salty taste, and the natural elegance and beauty. All at once, her banner paused in mid wave, and her whole body just seemed to go ridged.

Me-me? Join y-your family? She studdered, the offer coming as a shock.
What if I would be a burden? Are they really offering this, or am I in a dream again? Taking no chances, her banner broke loose from it's petrified state, and began wagging furriously, flogging her sides with excitment.
I would... I would love to! Her voice rose in excitment.

A familly! For her whole life, she had waited for her parents to come back. To tell her how they missed her, and how they were separated against their will. It was only until some time back that she concluded that it would never happen. But this was even greater. Champion, Raia and even Yuki were willing to bring her into their family, to make a spot for her.
Now, she had a family. Sure, when she was with Xavier, they were a family, but he didn't care for her. He hated her, she knew it. Although she refused to think it, in her heart she knew it was true. He nearly killed her.
Poor Xavier... She thought out loud. Overwhelmed with so many diffrent thoughts and emotions, like a small whelp who didn't know how to express itself, her eyes brimmed with tears, and she just stood there, ready to cry.

[Yuki/Champion]

"Seriously?! You would?! Welcome then!!!" Yuki barked, nosing Belle over and licking her repetively. He was completely content, now having another member of his family. He had enjoyed Belle's company a lot when they were in the same pack in Frozen Dreams, but now they were in the same family! It was such an amazing thing to him!

Champion grinned happily, looking towards Raia and nuzzling her quickly, and then walking over to Belle. Yuki backed away from playing with Belle when Champion approached, and then Champion licked Belle's crania. "Welcome, Belle, my daughter," he said, looking down at her affectionately.

Yuki's and Champion's auds both pricked when they heard Belle mention another name, Xavier. Champion looked towards Yuki with confusion, and Yuki returned the same look. "Whom is Xavier, Belle?" they both asked, for once in a long time matching their voices to make a joyful harmony. They had no clue whom this Xavier was, but they were eager to find out.

[Xavier and Belle]

Belle beamed happily, although eyes still watery. She paused for a moment, trying to regain her computure.
Xavier was... Is... My brother. A small lump formed in her throaght. Xavier. He really was quite beautiful. He moved with elegance, and ditermination. She didn't know if she could say more. Could she ever betray the secret they shared? Of how he had brung death to her?
Trying to look as if it was alright, she nuzzled them all, only coming up to their sides. The effects of less nutrition and runty-ness did have it's down side, but Belle kept a happy face, aside from the teary eyes.

[Yuki/Champion]

Yuki came over to Belle, just as Champion had done, and pulled Belle closer to him. "Belle, I'm sorry. It's hard when you lose somebody like that, that you were so close to," he said, hoping to calm her down just a little bit. He didn't want his new neice to feel bad, especially now that she was a part of their family. "If your brother ever shows up, wherever he might be, I'm sure that we'd have no problem taking him with us too," he said, looking from Raia to his brother.

Champion merely shrugged in a reply to Yuki's questioning stare, but still looked towards Belle. His yellow-gold optics were full of sympathy, because he and Yuki had done almost the same thing. Xavier, he didn't know of course, but he might still have been living, just somewhere else, but Champion's little siblings, and Yuki's older siblings would never reappear again.

"I'm not sure whether this will cheer you up or not, but you also have another brother now, he's our son, Tsuriai," Champion said, pointing to Raia with his maw. He smiled hopefully to Belle, not really sure what to do. He was good at cheering others up, Yuki too, but what to do in this sort of situation was a hard thing to place. 'What will this turn out to be, Belle? Will you be okay?' Champion thought, already becoming the worrying father of Belle, despite that she had only become his daughter few moments ago.
