{F} Cocoa'ed Snow Festival

The snow has now sheeted over the meadow, the grass looking a bit shorter than normal. The Cocoa'ed Snow Festival has arrived! There is a bamboo mat spread out upon the grass, and there are blankets for picnics. A buffet table has opened with "Snow Cocoa", otherwise hot cocoa with whipped cream and powdered sugar on it.
There are also bread loafs, rice cakes, and water all on the table. There is a stall in the corner of the festival where things are being sold.

Spriteberry Pie - 40G ea.

"Yay!!" exclaimed Aaric as he ran to the festival. It was a little small, but it was a festival no less. Growing tired in this cold air, he started to walk towards the only stand. He started looking at the wares, and decided to buy.

"I would like to buy a 2 Spriteberry Pies, 2 Golden Milks, and.. a shrimp net." He could smell the pies that were baked being brought to him before he could see them. The pies were so distinct and aromatic on a bleakly cold winter day. He thanked the stall worker as he gave his 780G.

She'd done it. Renie was living the alternate life she hadn't expected. But what was this? Some sort of celebration in the snow. It looked like they were selling stuff. Renie flicked her hair and held her arms together to keep herself warmer. Was that what she thought it was? It was pie.. In the Winter? It's probably special in some way- she should try it out. Looked to her pretty good. "Here." She said passing the 40G to the stand person and taking a pie. She wasn't really up for asking. It sounded a bit odd for her. She walked to the side near where the meadow was a bit empty.

"Can I get a pie? That doesn't sound right." Renie spoke to herself assuring it wasn't rude to pass some money over and take something on the stand. She watched as the guy came to buy stuff and that was it. "This is a celebration?.." She uttered out silently. Didn't seem so fun just buying things. 'I should talk to someone.' she told herself. Next people that come here- she should try to make a friend. Indeed she'd have to settle in for a more comfortable stay in town. She opened the pie case and took a slice out, sitting down and chewing off a small piece.

Somilia had just been wondering the quiet streets of the town when she had noticed a advertisement for a festival that was taking place on Winter 3rd. She stood there for a moment, counting on her fingers as she tried to figure out what day it was and how far away the festival was to occuring. She had been planning on attending one since she had stumbled upon the small town but had never really gotten around to it. Just then Somilia realized that today was Winter 3rd and she quickly rushed off in the direction of the meadow, afraid to miss anymore of the celebration.

When she arrived she noticed there was only two people there along with a few others who seemed to be selling some items on a table a little ways off. She could tell some was food but she wasn;t very concerned about that at the moment. She spotted a girl sitting by herself with a large pie. Maybe I should go introduce myself... She finally convinced herself and walked over in the girl's direction. She seemed about her age which was quite a relief to her.

Um...hi. Would this be the festival?

Somilia asked with a sort of puzzled tone. This was the smallest celebration she had seen, if it was the festival that is.

Aaric had sped a little farther up towards the festival, past Valerie, and had already bought food, and was (at the moment) waiting for Valerie. He could still smell the wonderful aroma of the pies, and the color of the seemingly fresh milk matched the ground below him. He couldn't wait to share this with Valerie. Now if she would hurry and come. He sat down and waited.

Renie grinned in excitement. Wow, she didn't have to go talk to anyone after all.. Someone came to her this time. Odd.. But very exciting for Renie. She wanted to make friends quick so she'd have someone to talk to here and there. She looked up to see a girl with long blonde hair. She was beautiful- but she snapped herself out of the thoughts. "This is the festival." She said in a bored tone but smiling to show the sarcasm. "If you want to call it that.. Piece?" Renie pulled out a slice for the girl who just had come. She seemed a bit confused as to whether this really was a festival. 'This place isn't big on things like this, huh?' She thought to herself.

"I'm Renie." She said putting the pie down besides her and standing up. She held her arm out for a quick shake. "Pies good." She added trying to break the ice and stir up some of that conversation. The girl was definitely one her age which made her feel even better about being here. 'You know.. She could visit me at the Clinic when I work sometimes so I won't have to be alone.' Renie's thoughts kept running around and around. She couldn't believe she was actually trying for something with her best interest. At least it wasn't a guy that came- she would've probably left making this place more empty.

Valerie had already planned on meeting Aaric at the festival, a new friend of her's. There weren't many people there yet and he wasn't hard to spot. She wanted to greet the other two people already there, but didn't want to be rude to Aaric so she walked towards him and sat down. "Hey," she said casually, "So what's there to do here anyway? It isn't much of a festival, more of a snowy picnic place." She looked around at the shop, though she couldn't see what was for sale. She decided that if she would buy anything, she would wait until later.

"Hi, Valerie. Well.. there isn't very much to do here. I think the whole idea is to erm.. Eat?" Aaric handed a pie and a bottle of milk to Valerie. " Here. I bought it for you just before you arrived. The pie's still hot. And the milk is still fresh. So.. "

'Hmm..' thought Aaric. Even though he was on the picnic blanket, he still felt a little chilled on his legs. He took a fork and started to break off pieces of the pie. It was very hot, and he could feel the red go to his cheeks. But it wasn't the warmth that was causing this.

"Do you want to talk to the others over there?" trying to make sure Valerie didn't notice his blushing.

As the night begins, some music starts playing...and then a pinata gets set up! The Cocoa'ed Snow Festival was actually a surprise winter festival! They travel all around the region with a plain festival, and the first night they begin the real festivities!

The pinata is burst open, and bits of candy goes flying everywhere, along with 50G. Try and see what you can get, you never know! (An admin or mod will tell you what you get) The music currently playing is rock music, an easy to dance to rythm.

[Somilia]

Somilia nodded in aknowledgement with a warm, friendly smile. She hadn't talked to anyone in town for what seemed like forever and having social contact with anyone was always a relief to her. To tell you the truth she had been beginning to feel a bit lonely.

Don't mind if I do.

She said in a excited voice as she took the piece of pie from the girl and took a small bite out of it. It had definately looked delicious and now she new it tasted heavenly as well.

This is great. And I'm Somilia. Nice to meet you.

She introduced herself after Renie had introduced herself and she reached out and shook her hand with her free hand that wasn't busy holding the pie. Somilia took another bite as she saw a pinata was being a set up. Maybe she had just arrived her too early to see what was really going to be going on. She quickly came back to reality as Renie spoke and she nodded with another one of her large friendly smiles.

I would love to come visit you! You should come visit me too at the inn. I work there part time as a maid.

Somilia sadi in a excited tone. She hadn't had company while she was at work since Kiriranshero had showed up that one day. But she had also been considering that maybe working as a maid was not what she had had in mind. It got rather tiresome and it barely paid anything. Maybe she should try her hand at the fishing business. That seemed to bring in a lot more profit from what she had seen.

"Thanks!" she replied as she graciously accepted the gifts, "You didn't have to do that!" She lowered her fork to the pie and began nibbling at tiny pieces of it. It tasted quite good.

Do you want to talk to the others over there?

She looked up as Aaric spoke. "Uh, sure," she replied as she began to stand up. She didn't know either of them and was a bit shy, but decided it would be good if she met some new people anyway. Just then music began playing and a piρata burst open. "Come on!" she said excitedly to Aaric, "Let's go see what we get from the piρata!" She rushed towards the excitement before Aaric answered to see what she would get.

[Miggy]

Miggy rushed towards the piρata. Miggy put one hand on her waist and with the other hand she made a fist and urged it into the air "unhand the choclate and nobody gets hurt!" miggy said in a joking voice. Miggy was never being normal, she was always cracking herself up by her stupid jokes. "by the way im miggy!" she said running in circles. "ohhh, how unfortunate for you, you have to hang out with [/I]valerie[I] miggy said slowing down. Miggy and valerie were always getting in fights.

[Milo]

Milo was walking through the village, Burakummin following close behind, and she heard a sudden sound to her right-a piρata had just burst open! How could she miss the party going on just a few feet away from her? I'm just thinking too much, thats all. Its true, she did have alot on her mind. She has been living in Oakleaf alot longer than she planned, almost a full year. True, this was the longest she had stayed in a village before, but it was also the first time the people hadn't kicked her out.Maybe it's time to leave soon... she wondered for a moment, and smiled and said out loud, "No, I think i'll stay for now." She watched as a bunch of candy and some gold coins fell to the ground, and decided to get as much as she could. Grinning, she ran over to the piρata and laughed at how childish she felt.

[Miggy]

Miggy was spinning in circles, and fell on her butt. "ouch" miggy said, and then started bursting out laughing. "ohh hey milo!" miggy was dizzy, so she didnt quite know if it was milo running towards her candy, but miggy got up and leaped into the air trying to tackle the person heading towards the choclate. "watch out!" miggy said about to smack right in the middle of the croud.

[Milo]

Milo stopped by the pinata "Oh hey Mi-" she quickly side-stepped to dodge Miggy. She started laughing "Are you drunk or something?" she noticed how dizzy and wierd she was acting. Just then, she spotted Valerie with someone else she hadn't met. "Hey Val!" she called, looking back to Miggy, then to Valerie, and then back to the pinata. "Oh well, I'm here for candy!" she exclaimed.
