No, really. I love to watch Sumo wrestling time and again. It's a whole world unto itself.

All those strange little rituals, like the winner of the previous fight offering water to the participants of the next fight, or throwing salt before entering the ring... podest... whatever it's called, I don't understand a thing about it, to be honest.

And then the morbid fascination with the wrestlers themselves. The shape, the proportions... in every other context, I'd find this much naked, trembling male flesh disgusting. Heck, I find bodybuilders utterly disgusting (please, don't hurt me! )! But these guys, despite looking like moving hills of flesh, do have a strange dignity somehow.

As I said, I don't understand the rules and never notice when something happens during the actual fight. I'm always surprised by it beign over so soon, and mostly don't realize who's won and why. And yet I keep watching it.

I guess I'm officially weird.
