Does anyone here make dolls? I'm particularly interested in having elf dolls made..*grin* I have some characters in another rpg and I had Trinity Cross draw me some pics, and I was wondering if anyone could perhaps transfer their faces to a doll body? I don't know, maybe it's not even possible, but I know I can't do it as I don't sew...

By the way, if you go to my live journal info page, you can see the pictures of the elves. (Actually, the way we play them, they are not the elves themselves, but clones of the original elves, so instead of having Erestor, I have a clone of Erestor, which I named Eredain.)

Anyway, like I said, the whole idea may just be dumb, but I figured it couldn't hurt to ask...

Here are their pics, just scroll down a hair once you get there.

The pics are incredibly cute. And I'd love to have a Lindir clone doll, to be honest. Maybe we can talk Tolkanonms into trying her considerable talents on them? She's made a very cool Gildor sing, too, with just paper and coloured pencils.

*grin* Well, I know I'm probably asking a lot, especially as I don't sew myself, but as I don't collect action figures, I thought dolls might be the next best thing! ohmy.gif

I find dolls a lot better. Personally, I hate action figures. For me, they are sorry caricatures of the actors who played in that particular show or movie - they all look mightily weird.

Dolls, on the other hand, can be cuddled, which is neat.

You can print almost anything you like on transfer sheets using an inkjet printer. Then you can iron the design on fabric. It feels sort of rubbery, and that might not be desirable for a doll face. But, it is an idea.

Yeah, I'd actually thought about that, though I still need someone to actually sew the body. *Hopeless with that sort of thing, really!*

Might have to settle for making iron on transfers out of them and putting them on a shirt! *grin*

Ah, see, that would be part of the problem, I don't know enough about it to know what to get...I don't have a pattern, but would gladly look for some. You have any suggestions where to start?

I know! I ask a LOT, don't I???

WOW, those are impressive! I'm planning on surfing sites like hobby lobby or craft sites, to see if I can't find a pattern for the body.

(I'm trying to figure out exactly what it says about me that first, I have someone draw these pictures, and now, I want dolls of them ! *grin*)

The drawings are adorable, I don't blame you for wanting to do something else with them. And dolls are sweet and cuddly.
