The ansient realm of Kraggen-Kor har been infested by Evil Creatures for hundreds of years, but now the Seventh Durek has decided to reclaim the Realm of his kin and kick those who now live there out. But in order to do so he needs help, the only one who has written about his passage through the Halls is a Warrov and his diary is found in the Boskydells. So two Dwarves and a Man goes to Tuckerby´s Warren in order to find the information they need. They find that Brega, Brekkis son has written down the way they went in a scroll as a service to his friend Tuck. With copies of the Bregascroll and two Warrows as guides they set off to the Landover Road Ford where they meet king Durek and his Army.
There are a number of things that make me think about the realm of Khazad-Dûm and there are parts of the tale that I have heard before but now I hear the tales from a different perspective. The tale has a happy ending but I still weep in places. It shows how so many are killed in war and even if one is victorious the losses can still be grevious. I would like to read more of this author so I am considering buying more books that he has written. -------------------- "Baruk Khazad, Khazad ai-menu" "This is not a rabble of Orcs, these are Uruk-hai" Gimli to Théoden King at the gates of the Hornburg |
