» treat others how you want to be treated, et cetera et cetera. what goes around comes
around. s’all about karma, baby.
» our literacy levels hover between literate and advanced. while the latter is welcome, you
don’t need to post a novel per post. there’s a two [detailed] paragraph minimum, so please,
respect the other roleplayer’s ability.
» you want to roleplay in more than one place? then by jove you roleplay in more than one
place. spread the love, be free and stuff.
» proper grammar, punctuation and spelling at all times while in-character. the odd typo is
fine, but it shouldn’t be an effort to read posts so don’t litter yours with spelling mistakes.

characters ,

» one character to one account. ‘jane mary smith and joe john bloggs’ just looks messy.
» go wild and make twenty characters if you have to, but only if you can juggle them all.
» no, the plot isn’t at all historically accurate, but it doesn’t you’re your character should have
a name like kelsey mackenzie abercrombie. for some suitable eighteenth century names, try
this joint.
» there’s no age average as far as characters are concerned, so don’t feel the need to make a
bunch of late teen-kids. don’t shy away from creating the old or very young characters.
» not all characters had tragic pasts, and not all of them have tragedies in store. you won’t lose
marks just because you have an ordinary charrie.
» twins are allowed, but we don’t need clones all over the place.
» how boring would real life be if everyone was best friends? stir it up a little and make a few
enemies–drama is fun!

presentation ,

» the majority of canon playbys have been specifically chosen for their roles in period pieces,
so please, make an effort to find the right sort of pictures should you use them. we’re not
models-only, but there are heaps of models with amazing photoshoots that will suit this site.
and unless your character is a travelling circus freak, please, no scene kids/myspace
randomers/tween actors that clearly won’t fit the part.
» although you have a lot of free reign over the presentation of your posts, it’s preferable to
keep it in size 0. while you shouldn’t go overboard, feel free to decorate with icons, lyrics,
dialogue colour/emboldened, etc.
» avs can be up to 150x150 in size, but don’t make massive sigs that stretch the page.

and lastly ,

» if you read this far, you deserve a cookie. but just to be sure, put a <3 at the end of
your roleplay sample.
» we have six staff members in total–one admin and five supahmods. as far as timezones
go, there ought to be at least one of us online. we don’t bite a lot, so go ahead–bow down
chat to us.
» at the end of the day, we’re all here to have fun. we’re not going to hassle you about
activity and we’re quite relaxed about time limits. roleplaying shouldn’t be a chore, just
