So my laptop has been having some issues recently, and until now I could fix it just by tapping and pressing in the right places (giggity). However, it has gotten a lot worse, and so I took my laptop in to see what repairs might need to be done. Turns out my laptop (a Sony Vaio) has a broken LCD, and they want $250 to replace it. Does anyone know how this rates as compared to other people? I'm looking for a way to replace it for less, if at all possible.

I was also thinking about selling it on craigslist... does anyone know what a working laptop with a broken LCD would fetch? I got it about 3.5 years ago.
