Steal This Article

I thought this article applies to many of you, just be careful. Granted I don't really play Magic that much anymore, I do keep up with it. So this doesn't really apply to me as much, but still I've had other stuff stolen from me before so I know how it feels like even if it's not magic cards.

There have been numerous threads about theft on TMD since the stakes are an awful lot higher. Getting a Standard deck stolen or a Vintage deck at GenCon is a difference of thousands of dollars.

I'm not going to read the article, but I did glance at a few of the bullet points. The author may have missed a few points. At a large event beware of people without bags or empty bags. Don't ever put the pressure on a friend to 'watch a bag' while you go to the restroom, car, or wherever. The responsibility should fall on you alone to keep your bag in contact with your persons at all times. If you catch someone stealing something, call them the fuck out.
