I will also nominate Don. However, in the interest of being realistic, this award could and probably should go to Don EVERY year. For this reason, I think that this award should be retitled to "The Smileylich Award for Casual Player of the Year" or something like that, much like the "Josh Howe Award for Advancement of the Club."
If we pass up on Don or rename the award after him, I will nominate two other candidates: I nominate Lincoln because I never see him do anything but play EDH, and he is a very gracious player. He may have the tendency to "thumb" a lot, but in this period of Maro power creep, who doesn't? He makes games enjoyable. I think it should only be fair to nominate Matt (Llanowar King) as well, because dude has like nine BILLION EDH decks and is always calling for a "BIG GAME!" with a fanaticism only surpassed by the legendary Smileylich himself. |

I like this idea. Otherwise, I nominate Don for Casual Player of the Year. If we do change the name of the award, though, I nominate Charlie simply on his passion for a "real" casual atmosphere. His Lorthos EDH deck says it all. Go Dandan! |
