I was originally going to post this as a reply to Fish's post about his deck, but I didn't want to jack his thread.
I recently designed and built a Weatherlight crew EDH deck focused on the crew and retrieving the Legacy. I also built one centered around Yawgmoth and Phyrexia. At some point I plan on building a Coalition deck and a Stronghold deck so I'll have two good and two evil decks.
I went as flavorful as possible, to the point that the deck will likely be awful when I play it. The fun factor should make up for it though.
Also, while I thought about using Sliver Queen as a General I decided to simply bend the rules and use Skyship Weatherlight. I haven't played the deck yet, but my general plan will be to immediately search up all the Legacy artifacts so I can find a different one each turn.
Here's the Weatherlight crew list:
Barrin, Master Wizard
Crovax, the Cursed
Ertai, Wizard Adept
Hanna, Ship's Navigator
Karn, Silver Golem
Mirri, Cat Warrior
Orim, Samite Healer
Squee, Goblin Nabob
Starke of Rath
Tahngarth, Talruum Hero
Rofellos, Llanowar Emissary
Cards with characters' names:
Character specific events:
Spirit of Resistance
Tooth of Ramos
Eye of Ramos
Skull of Ramos
Heart of Ramos
Horn of Ramos
The 40 best dual lands:
Barrin is probably the most tangential character here, but I really wanted to include him and Obliterate. Something about a blue wizard blowing up Tolaria with an enormous red spell is hilarious to me.
If anyone's interested I'll post the Yawgmoth deck later.
