WTF!!!!!!!!!!
How the hell can this happen. Halloween is one of those movies that does not need to be remade. Not only that but with Rob Zombie at the wheel, expect a bloodbath (Rumour has it that it will be). I mean, the original has almost no gore in it, and still managed to be quite bloody scary!!! Not only that, but it contains some of the greatest camera work ever seen in a horror film. On the other hand though, the trailer for it does look OK. It could be good, but it will never beat the original IMO. Even more remakes are in the pipeline, including: The Hitcher (WTF! Sean Bean will never beat Rutger Hauer as a raving psychotic) Hellraiser (If this follows the book closer than the original did, then this may be good) Prom Night (Why?!?!!?!?!?!?) Day of the Dead (Seen the trailer. It looks Sh*t. Rumour has it that it may not be up for a cinematic release) It is quite hard to not sound hypocritical when talking about this subject. Lets face it, some of the truly great horror films are remakes (The Thing and The Fly spring to mind), but then again, some of the worst horror films have been remakes (Pyscho (98) and The Fog (05) are just terrible movies. The Wicker Man (06) also sucks). Halloween, as well as The Exorcist, should not even be considered to be remade. One down, one to go. What do guys and gals think about it then? (If you give a damn that is?) |
