definitely, by far, one of the greatest love films of the 20th century.
it's heartwarming yet terribly sad because neither one of them gets each other in the end. you begin to understand how she feels at then end of their relationship, how horrible she feels without him and just how much she hates the woman who interrupts their last meeting. 10 out of 10 in my opinion |

I'll have no hesitation in seconding that opinion. Brief Encounter is without doubt one of the, if not the, best romances ever.
To add that it's a British film just adds to the mystery of why it's so good. I'd definitely give it 8 or 9 out of 10, although it's aged somewhat in it's morals. Which is a shame. |
