Starting a signature shop

When starting up a signature shop, make sure to follow these guidelines.

• You must have at least three examples of work.
• Must provide guidelines for requesting.
• State rules that must be obeyed while wearing the sig (ie length of time it must be worn, if the sig shop must be advertised).
• Make sure to stay on top of all requests.
• If you will be unable to create signatures for an amount of time (three days or more) please state this in a new post, and in the first post of your shop. Please also say how long you will be gone for, and if requests are allowed to be made while you are gone.
• Try and save files twice on your computer; once in the finished format, and once in the layers format (for Photoshop users, this is the default, .psd format. I'm not too sure about other programs).

Requesting in a signature shop

If you would like to request a signature in one of these shops, make sure to follow these guidelines.

• As well as obeying these rules, you must obey any guidelines set by the owner of the sig shop.
• If signature shop guidelines are not obeyed, privileges may be removed (these could include not being able to request, having your signature removed, or being restricted from the graphics area of the forum).
• Do not claim that any sigs made in this area are your own.
• Don't hassle the sig shop owners! They have lives outside the computer. If you feel as though your request has accidentally been skipped over, you may quote yourself in a new post to remind the sig shop owner. However, if you have been noticed but not yet received a sig, do not quote yourself. This is just hassling the sig shop owners.
• If you would like something in your sig done differently, please tell the owner of the sig shop in a way that isn't insulting or demeaning. Posts of this nature will be treated as flaming, and dealt with accordingly.
• If someone has put in hard work to create a signature for you, do not be so rude as to post in another signature shop straight away. Wear the signature for as long as the owner of the sig shop states.
• That said, do not post a request in more than one signature shop at a time.

Not reading these rules is not an excuse for breaking them!
