Spider-man 3

This seemed appropriate since we have a few spider-men on the index page.
The movie will be realeased May 4th, 2007. There are rumors of up to 3 villains and one has been confirmed. It will be the most expensive film in non-adjusted US dollars ever made with a budget of approx. 250 milllion.
The one confirmed villain is the Sandman, who will be played by Thomas Hayden Church.
Topher Grace from That 70's Show will also be a new villain, rumored to be the fan-favorite Venom, though fans are not happy with this choice as they believe Topher doesn't have the instensity to pull off the aggressive character. Rumors of Venom have been strengthened after the official website put up a picture of Spider-man in a black costume, which was an important part of the Venom story arc in the comic.
James Franco, who plays Harry Osborn, will make his last appearance in the Spider-man series in this film. There are possibilities that he will become the second Green Goblin, as he did in the comics. However, the director said this movie would stray the most from the comic books which has lead people to believe he may become the Hobgoblin, or not a villain at all.

This movie looks awesome. The first movie was great, the Second wasn't as good, But cool too. The third looks like a great blockbuster. I can't wait for it. 3 villains!?! How long is this movie going to be?

Most likely 1 or 2 main villains. My guess is that they'll focus on Venom or Harry but I could be wrong.

It looks awesome. Can't wait. Personally, I enjoyed the second one more than the first (which was great anyway) because it really showed you peter parkers new life, interactions with peole, while still showing him trying to balance his spider-man side.

Yeah But that sucked when he lost his powers for a little while... I liked # 1 more.

Spider man 2 had an ending of that guy finding his dad's (DocOc) equipment... who does he turn into?

I'm not sure, I never read the comics, and for the first time in my life I'm not going to search and spoil who dies or not

And isn't it the green goblin that he finds the things of? Doc ock is the guy with 8 arms.

Harry Osborn is the son of Norman Osborn who was the first Green Goblin. In most comics, Harry takes his equipment after his death and become the new Green Goblin, but Sam Raimi said this film would stray the most from the comics so my guess is he'll be the hobgoblin or not a villain at all. I remember it WAS green goblins son. I knew it was Green Goblins son right no i didn't... haven't watched that movie since it came out... should watch it again.

Spider-man was a good movie , but wasn't totally relised as a picture & should have been a bit bigger than it was . . .

SII - was completely overated . There was some great stuff in it, don't get me wrong. But the Harry / Peter reletionship felt rushed to me onscreen. Kristen Dunstcap was completley unbearable in this movie . . . & I didn't like Alfred Molinia as Doc Ock.


I'm really hoping 3's the charm in this one! Much like Revenge of the Sith was for Star Wars I - III

Sweet. Another spider-fan. BTW, recently Avi Arad confirmed that there are 4 villains. Venom, Sandman, the Green Goblin (Harry I guess) and the fourth he will announce at this year's ComiCon. I don't know when that is though.

Did we ever find out the third?

Apparently Spiderman turns evil for some reason in the third one... I saw the trailer.
