It's in black and white and was made in the 60s by the great Alfred Hitchcock.

It has the now famous "Shower Scene" where someone is..... well, I'll just let you see the movie.

Has anybody else here seen it? Or at least the 1998 remake?

I haven't seen this one in a while. I really want to see it again because I can't remember too much of it.

It's been awhile for me too, but I seem to remember liking the original better than the remake.

I always feel so bad for poor Norman. He was only doing what his mommy told him to. silver13.gif

Without question, Anthony Perkins did a very good job in the role. Poor guy, though, after playing Norman, he was stuck in his career. Psycho was such a big movie and Norman Bates was such a large role, he must have had a lot of trouble distancing himself from it.

Did you guys know that Richard Franklin went on int 1983 to direct Pyscho 2? And it didn't get THAT bad of reviews.

Then Anthony Perkins himself did Psycho 3 in 1986.

And finally, in 1990 there was a Psycho 4!!!! And apparently, they all got pretty good reviews - nothing compared to the original but still good.

Has anyone seen any of the sequels?

I've seen at least part of each.

I agree, they're not the original, but I think I liked them far less than you did. I found them to be awfully weak in story and became more and more ridiculous with each one.
