Each time I try to use USB FORMAT tool, it generates a "Volume Is Too Big" error message.
Tried both automatic and manual installation on a 8GB and 16GB USB flash drive, even went as far as to manually partitioning FAT16 but installation still fails. Why must this software use FAT16?
My system:
Windows XP Pro SP3
8GB and 16 GB Patriot USB 2.0 Flash Drive
Nvm, saw that...
"You must use a 4GB thumb-drive or under. Drives with 8GB or more will not work correctly."
This really disappoints me since if I knew of this problem before I made the purchase I wouldn't have purchased this software.
Yes, 4GB or less drives work best. I've been able to get larger ones to work doing it manually, it just depends on the drive. Some manufacturers will work when other's don't.
The creating of the boot device and verifying it will work is to be done prior to purchasing the key, so there's no reason to buy anything without knowing it's compatible first.
Thanks,
Dana
