Special abilities: Telepathic, can breath underwater, can make people do things against their wills, can talk to fish, and may change her appearance at whim (may not have manifested this ability in the time frame of this site -- she gained this in the fourth book The Final Warning)


Personality

Likes: Animals, the Flock (particularly Max and Total), beaches, warm weather, and various other things normally appreciated by girls of her age
Dislikes: Adults, robots, being told no
Strengths: Special abilities, quick wits, and imagination
Weaknesses: Has trouble resisting impulses, slightly unrealistic
Fears: Erasers, people who plan on hurting her or the flock, The School and anything related
Quirks: When she thinks, she tends to tilt her head sideways quizzically, as if listening.
Hobbies: Taking care of Total and Celeste

Species appearance: Human + wings, with internal adjustments for flight

History

She was sent to the School when very young (probably pre-natal) and genetically altered. She then spent the first two years of her life being subjected to various experiments before being spirited away by Jeb Batchelder. She then spent the next to years in the care of Jeb and Max, who was also genetically altered, along with the rest of the flock (minus Total). Later, Jeb vanished, and they all grieved at the thought that he had died. A few months after that, Erasers (wolf-like recombinants) stole her from Max, and she was further experimented on (which later gained her new abilities beyond mind-reading) until Max (and the rest) rescued her. They were on the run for a good three novels, stopping here and there to be captured and escape, all the while dueling Itex. They're still on the run.


Role Play Prompt

Max looked around. It was still pitch black out, the same as when she had fallen asleep. She couldn't have been out for that long. She glanced at the tree. No one. Infuriated, she stood up. That stupid mutant was supposed to be on watch all night. Max was positive that no one had come and kidnapped the mutant, because they would have taken Max too. She stormed over to the sleeping bag and threw back the top layer. "What do you think you're doing?"


Role Play Response

"What do you think you're doing?"

Angel snapped awake silently, as she had been taught, and found herself staring into the outraged face of Max.

"Sleeping," she answered truthfully, frowning. Was she supposed to be on watch? She had been sure it was The Gasman's turn, but he was very much asleep, and dreaming dreams that weren't easy to follow. "Was it my turn to watch?" she queried. She wiggled out of her sleeping bag and stood up, stretching her wings. Must be. That's what Max was thinking. "Okay," she murmured She wandered over to a tree and leaned against it, listening intently for sounds and hoping Max was done yelling.

Chances were she wasn't...

[Maximum Ride]

Hey Angel. I'm actually leaving to go on vacation tomorrow so I probably won't get to fully take a look at this until Monday. I just quickly skimmed over it and two things I would appreciate if you changed would be the quirks and the rp response.

quirks: Even though she doesn't have any, I'm giving you permission to add something to her character. Everybody has at least one quirk, so go ahead and make one up. It just makes her a bit more fun to rp.

As for the rp reponse, the only thing I see wrong with it currently is the power playing issue. I know I didn't give you many thoughts to work with, so you need to work around them. There aren't always going to be thoughts for Angel to read, so maybe you can have her working around that some other way. She doesn't have her mind reading sonar on constantly, so this would be one of those times for her to just use her Human capabilties, like reading people's facial expression instead of their mind.

Again, I'll read it over once more when I come back, and just remember, I'm trying to give you constructive critisism, and this is not meant to be insulting. :] Once you fix those things you can just reply saying you updated and I'll check it over again. See you monday!

Oh, and as a note, this is based on only the first three books. You were right in guessing that she doesn't quite have the ability to change her appearance.
