Today when I got on the bus, one of my friends wasn't talking. What I didn't notice until he pointed it out was something pinned to his shirt that said "Why I Am Silent", and it read something like: "Every day over 4000 people are silenced against their will, and what's worse, the government is sponsoring it. I am not going to speak for 24 hours to protest against this. One other thing, they are not just being silenced, they are being murdered.
Every day, over 4000 unborn babies are killed. Some say that this is justified, they are not yet born. However, they have hearts and breath, not to mention the will to live. This is plain wrong. To speak out against this, I will not speak at all."

or something like that, but point is, one the bus, I saw it, so I decided to do it too. So from 7:45 this morning I have not yet uttered a word. We had 2 other ppl do it too, but they gave in by lunch time. However, many people did not get the seriousness of what we were doing. Some tried to force us to talk and one of my friends was offended and said what we were doing was stupid. Its hard, but for 10 hours I haven't uttered a sound, and it's because I feel very strongly about this issue. What do you guys think?


and as a side note, my friend who organized the protest got the protest note signed by the vice-principal of our school to sign it, so what we were doing was totally legal.

That is genius! I need to get people in my school to do that. Luckily, I'm friends with the principal so he can give me permission. And he's nice, so he'll probably promote it throughout the whole school, getting more people to do it.

I've seen similar things at my school.

I hate abortion. I don't agree with it at all whatsoever. There is no justification in knowingly killing a living human being.

Quite frankly however, my political heart is indecisive. The constitution of our country states that we have a freedom of choice, so long as it does not trample upon the life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness of others. Even an unborn child has those natural freedoms as mentioned. However, the controlling government could be considered to interrupt those natural freedoms of that of the mother who has custody of the child

I lean more towards an anti-abortion side, but am still indecisive on my political views.
