Personality: Always ready for a Pokémon battle. Whenever he sees another trainer it is the first thing that comes to his mind; a challenge. He prefers to travel alone, because he is in a hurry to get first to every Pokémon gym, and companion would only slow him down. He is afraid of being weak and by showing this he tries to defeat everyone else. He thinks others think they are much better than him; "they think they are something" is a common thought when Aka sees other people showing their skills.
Maybe there is a part of him that really wants friends, but he is too tough to show that part of himself. When he sees others giving friendly hugs he thinks them stupid and childish, but maybe he is jealious. It is hard to tell how Aka really feels.
He wants to be the greatest Pokémon Trainer, but he forgets to care about his Pokémon, but maybe he really cares about them; he just does not know that yet. Maybe there will be a day when he discovers that the Pokémon are his friends.
Biography: When he was younger he was often alone. He does not remember why, but others did not like him. He thinks he has no need of friends and that he can do things on his own. He has been furious when someone gets ahead of him and he himself tries to hurry up to be better than his rivals. Always, when he had seen friends gather to progress, training or going on adventure, he thinks that they think they are something, and then he wants to comepete.
When he was ten he got his first Pokemon, the fire lizard Hitokage. He did not care for his Pokemon; they were just tools for him to win battles and become strong. But one day a powerful Pokemon attacked them and defeated Hitokage. Then it sent off a ray of light that would destroy Aka, but his Hitokage evolved into Lizardo and threw itself in front of its Trainer and thus saved his life. However, the fire lizard did not survive. But Aka could escape. He could feel that something was wrong with him and could not understand why he was so sad. Soon, he realised that he missed his Pokemon and that he cared for it. He had always cared, but had not realised that until now. He would do anything to get his friend back and he would never be careless of his Pokemon again, but it was too late. Hitokage had always been loyal and obeyed him, even if he was a bad Trainer, and then it had sacrificed itself to save his life. Aka wishes he had cared more about Hitokage before.
Appearance His hair is black and ruffled and his eyes are red-brown. He looks very confident. His clothes are red and he wears a red cap.
Powers: His confidence make it easier for him to win battles and harder for his opponent to win.

How Did He/She Become Your Rival?: Midori has always found friends easily. Aka has not. Aka is afraid of being weak and has a need to prove that he is strong. Because of this, he thinks that friends is unescesary for him and he wants to compete with others. He don't think he needs other help (and he seldom gets it) and he want to do things on his own. So everyone, especially Midori (who is very different from Aka), is his rivals.
