Tropic Thunder: 9/10- A racous, over the top, ridiculous and enjoyable ride through the Movie industry.



I'll keep this brief.


Tropic Thunder is the brainchild of Ben Stiller, who writes, directs and stars in this end of summer comedy. Tropic Thunder is essentially a rip on the Entertainment industry and people's obsession with celebrity. It's over the top, but for a good reason, I love it. Robert Downey Jr. is brilliant here, and imo, deserves an Oscar nod (I shit you not) for his performance of Aussie method actor Kirk Lazarus.

Long story short, see this movie if you're into loud, bloody, crude but meaningful movies.

If you're mormon, stay the fuck away.
