| For the first time in decades, Russia suddenly has NO SPY SATELLITES in orbit, and won't launch another one until June 22. Budget constraints have limited its launch capacity. Russia's last remaining surveillance satellite, oddly called US-PU and launch two years ago, was moved out of orbit Saturday and into a trajectory that would enable it to burn up in the atmosphere. Russia has three satellites in reserve on the ground, but is unprepared to launch them immediately, though has recently launched spy satellites for nations that do have the money: Great Britain, China, Iran, Israel and Germany. In any event, if you want to do something outdoors and don't want the Russians to know about it, now's your chance. |
